It’s true, salons can reopen. However, Azalea Color Bar will not be reopening until further notice. There are too many reasons to list here, but if you would like to know, you can read my statement on my booking page.

You can also get updates on my salon reopening on my booking page and sign up to get email or text notifications on my website as well. I hope you remain safe and healthy, and I hope to see you again sometime!

Added a new video to the series! Note: you will need someone you trust to help you out with this one... preferably before evening cocktails are imbibed 😉🥂

21 days...504 hours...30,240 minutes from now... that’s when salons *might* reopen! 😳

I know y’all have been waiting patiently (most of you, anyway) 😆
I also know it’s a lot to ask- because some of you have been going to work still, and some of you will be working again by this weekend, and some of you are just going nuts at home, but if you can, please WAIT!

If you just can’t hold off any longer, I understand. I want to help however I can. I’ve made a series of educational videos to help you get through until I can see your beautiful self in person and clean up all that “Corona Hair”!

Check out my booking page or website to view these videos, and see if it’s something you might be interested in.

Otherwise, I’ll be waiting patiently (mostly) to see you around May 18...tentatively!

Hello, lovelies! These are very uncertain times, as you know! With many of us ordered to stay at home, and salons being ordered to close (hopefully VERY temporarily), you may be wondering:

“What am I going to do about my roots growing out??” or “How will I be able to afford hair color if I’m not working??”

I’m here to help.

I’m also here to talk you off the ledge that is called “DIY-box-color-desperation”! I personally have been there before... the results can be unpredictable, at best!

*******Before you ask... NO, I will not be making house calls, nor will I be selling custom color mixes for you to apply at home. For many, many reasons- legal, professional, and ethical.*******

I WILL, however, give you some tips and tricks to get you through these tough times!

I’m putting together some ideas, and I’ll be posting my “Quarantine Hair Hacks” in the days to come.

Stay tuned, stay healthy and please, please STAY HOME! ❤️

It’s official... all San Antonio salons (and many other businesses, of course) have been ordered to close. It’s crazy that something so tiny can bring the entire big world to a halt!

I’ve had a knot in my stomach for a few weeks now, but Instead of focusing on the constant, nagging worry about what’s next (which we’re ALL dealing with right about now), I’ve decided to put more energy into building a better future!

I’m definitely going to be having some nice, long chats with my family while we’re all , and do some spring cleaning at home!

I suppose I should also build some better eating, sleeping and exercising habits... we’ll see 😉

There are lots of opportunities to take advantage of at the moment, such as free online education, organizing the salon, as well as giving some TLC to my horribly neglected social media platforms. I have lots of ideas and a good bit of time!

I already miss my lovely clients, and I hope everyone is holding up while we’re “holing up”! It’s going to be so, SO great to see y’all again!

In the meantime, what are you doing for your “stay-cation”?

Dearest Clients,

In light of recent events, I have made the difficult decision to close Azalea Color Bar Salon- temporarily, as of this past Tuesday. I am not able to adhere to the CDC and Texas Department of State Health Services’ recommendation to maintain a six-foot distance while performing services on clients. Your safety and well-being are my top priority!

Furthermore, an order has been passed for all massage establishments In Texas to close as of 11:59 pm Friday, March 20. Although my salon is my own independent business, it is also technically a facility within the massage establishment. An order being passed to close all salon/barber establishments in the very near future is also a possibility.

I don’t know how long this will all go on, but every single one of my clients is very important to me! I will be well-rested, further educated, and ready to take care of your hair needs, hopefully very soon! Appointment times will be made available as soon as local and state governments allow. Feel free to check my social media platforms for updates.

Be well and be safe!

Sonia Marie
