Seriously!!
Keeping holiday meals safe for dogs doesn’t have to be complicated. Plain, balanced foods and calm rest after meals help support digestion, especially for large breeds. Homemade is about care, not perfection. 🐾

Exploring homemade dog food with love first and zero judgment. Every dog, every home is different. See list breakdown ⬇️
10. Food preferences & pickiness. Some dogs will eat anything. Others won’t. Knowing what your dog actually likes matters more than fancy ingredients.
9. Stool quality & digestion history. Loose stools, gas, or constipation can tell you a lot about what does and doesn’t work for your dog.
8. Activity level & energy needs. Couch potatoes and high-drive dogs burn calories very differently. Their meals should reflect that.
7. Weight & body condition. Is your dog underweight, overweight, or just right? Portions and ingredients should support healthy body composition.
6. Allergies or sensitivities. Skin issues, itching, ear infections, or chronic GI problems may point to foods your dog doesn’t tolerate well.
5. Age & life stage Puppies, adults, seniors, and working dogs all need different nutrient ratios and portion sizes.
4. Breed-specific tendencies. Some breeds are prone to joint issues, heart concerns, skin problems, or sensitive stomachs, this matters when choosing ingredients.
3. Medical history & current health issues. Pancreatitis, kidney disease, heart conditions, or GI disorders should always guide food choices.
2. How your dog responds to change. Some dogs transition easily. Others need very slow changes. Their reaction matters more than timelines.
