Here are 3 common things that were accelerating my aging that I didn’t know at the time!
1.) intermittent fasting during menopause - this increased my stress hormones, slowed my metabolism, and worsened my fascia due to breakdown decreasing collagen and increased systemic inflammation
2.) eating foods that weren’t right for my DNA - even foods I thought to be healthy could still not be right for my body. This caused my organs to overwork
3.) neglected fascia + lymph health - when fascia is tight it shuts down mobility, detox pathways, and causes lymph to be stagnant. My body didn’t have what it needed to have cellular health. My body was puffy and stiff.

If you suffer from neck tension or dowagers hump, grab your tools and try this routine with me to release the fascia in that area! We need to work both the front and the back to fully release the tight fascia and target the full muscle - not just the source of the pain. If you don’t have these exact tools you can use any fascia tools you have as long as one is small tooth and one is deep tooth. I also have a routine posted that requires no tools!

2.) I like to start from the bottom, working my way up to my heart
3.) Start closer to the lymph nodes, working your way out further away from it

Poor posture plays a huge role in accelerating our aging! Your posture supports your entire internal communication system - from your nerves and blood vessels to your fascia and lymph. If you’re slouching, collapsing into one hip, locking your knees, or wearing unsupportive shoes, your body has to compensate. Over time, this causes real damage. Poor posture compresses your spine, which slows circulation to your head and face - dulling your skin, reducing oxygen flow, and speeding up signs of aging. A collapsing upper body posture (especially from desk work or phone use) can create a dowager’s hump - a visible curve at the base of the neck caused by tight fascia, weak back muscles, and compressed vertebrae.
Your fascia - the connective tissue web wrapping your muscles, bones, and organs - molds itself to your habits. If you’re slouching daily, your fascia begins to hold you in that collapsed position, restricting circulation, lymphatic flow, and even your ability to detox.
