“Where ya been, Mo?” Yikes! I hadn’t realised I’ve been so preoccupied with business is real life that I haven’t been updating the online world😆

To summarize it as short as possible, here’s a mini dump of the last 6 ish months since apparently that’s the last time I posted to the feed😭 I spoke at some amazing conferences last year, hosted a pro workshop on buccal massage here in solana beach, hosted a gua sha workshop for clients, recorded a podcast and hosted another pro workshop in Miami, took a training in Chicago, and otherwise have been tending to my lovely clients in the treatment room.

What’s coming up?

It’s been on my heart to teach more& deliver NEW materials. Many have reached out, and I want to thank you all for continually pushing me in the direction of sharing my voice, and my knowledge.

If you've been in recently, you've probably noticed some of the new faces around Heal Thy Goddess! This Spring, we welcomed on 2 new
practitioners to our team.

It's been many moons in the making that I've been curating this team of uniquely qualified individuals who have a passion for holistic beauty & healing arts. I want to ensure you all that each person has been personally trained by me- days and days of one on one training to guarantee that our client list receives the same level of quality experience, no matter the
practitioner. Everyone uses the same products (Laurel, Agent Natuer, Josh Rosebrook) and uses many of the same modalities & techniques, while still adding their own unique approach.

How did you get to specializing in lymphatic drainage?

Well, many years ago (7? 6?) A first time client walked in. And said, “do you know how to do lymphatic drainage…I just want lots of massage” I said okayyy I gotchu girl. I was never a “let’s burn your face off with this level 3 jessner peel” kinda esthe lol, but I was the girl for massage!! I had just finished massage therapy school &everything was fresh in brain, so I was excited to do something different.

So I focused on massaging, opening up the lymph pathways in the neck and clearing the lymph nodes. Gave some extra lovin to her face, and boom. She got up and said WOW, nobody’s ever massaged my face like that before??! I feel like my lymph has ACTUALLY been drained!. WTF. I’ll be back next week-

I remember thinking, like, no girl next week is kinda soon? I think a month will be fine? And she was like nope! I’m coming in a week! And I was like ummmmm ok😅

A week later, she walked in puffy asl and I was like “???? 🤔???” lol. And she had explained to me how she had a double jaw surgery and so she gets really puffy and the massage is the only thing that helps.

And just like that, right then and there I ~knew~ I was onto something, that THIS was my *thing*; Combining my massage knowledge with esthetics. My specialty became FACIAL massage & lymphatic drainage. Delivering results to clients hoitcally via touch, I began to see amaaazing results.

One of the reasons I wanted to offer a Gua sha workshop for professionals, is because I see so much misinformation out there. It gets to be confusing- go up the neck? Or go down the neck? And what about practitioners not even involving the chest?

I notice that while Gua sha has blown up over recent years, there’s been misleading information put out by beauty influencers or the like. Which you know, that happens with the internet. But the problem is that *professionals / estheticians* watch a few YouTube videos by someone who’s just showing a little DIY for at home and then they go and perform Gua sha on their clients without a background knowledge or understanding of contraindications or how to approach different skin types/skin conditions etc etc.

And don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of great information and videos out there on how to do Gua sha on ~yourself~ But for professionals to watch a few YouTube videos and then go out and do it is what ultimately does a disservice to clients; as it could interfere with existing skin conditions, fade botox/ fillers or simply, results may not be achieved.

Sooo that’s why I am offering a Gua sha workshop for professionals 😊 I have a background knowledge in Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture school dropout here) and I’ve also been offering this treatment for years now, working with all kinds of face shapes and skin conditions etc. I’ll be sharing all my Gua sha tips and tricks I’ve learned over the years🙌🏼 the class will be hosted on zoom on 3/31 @ 10am PST.
