The ultimate passion project for my husband and I: transforming a home for someone we love.

Every corner of this remodel has a story. It started with a floor plan that needed a better flow, moved into months of framing and decision making, and finished with the exact textures and materials we envisioned from day one. Working with my husband as the general contractor means balancing two distinct ways of thinking: I dream up the design and aesthetic, and he anchors it in reality with his precision and detail-oriented ex*****on. There is nothing like the feeling of bringing our visions to life together, especially when we get to hand the keys back to friends who trusted us with their home.

For this project, we brought the coast indoors through organic textures: sand-washed linens, performance bouclé, and light oak tones that let the ocean view do the talking. The goal was a space that feels like a breath of fresh air—relaxed, refined, and entirely timeless.

This past month while traveling throughout Europe, I had time to reflect on the invaluable reminder that the best designs feel deeply rooted in their landscape and history.
