anyone else? just me?
it can feel SO LONELY when you’re in the thick of hard sleep, so I’m here to tell you you aren’t alone. every time you open social media it seems like everyone else’s baby has been sleeping through the night while you’re surviving on broken sleep for - quite literally - years.
Rad just turned 2, and while things are SO much better than they were a year ago - hell, even 5 months ago - sleep is still a work in progress over here. he’s my second “sparkler sleeper,” so I know it’s just time and a whole lot of surrender. so if you’re constantly wondering whether you’re doing something wrong, this is your reminder that some kids simply take longer and THEY ARE NOT BROKEN - neither are you. my babies just have different nervous systems who need a lot more TLC and they chose me for a reason.
every kid has their own timeline, and if this is your season, I’m rooting for youuuuu (and for my son, too!). I promise you’re not the only one awake at 2am (and 11pm, 1am, 4am, 5am).

5 cities
3 vacations rolled into one
a broken down car
a lot of potty breaks
a lot of sibling fights in the car
very little sleep
some damn good core memz
for the first time in a few YEARS (3+?!), we finally felt we could conquer a BIG family adventure, and somewhere between the alternator dying on the side of the 101, a slew of birthday candles, creek days, Disneyland, fireworks, cousin time, late nights, no schedule and sunsets galore, I came home with a full cup and heart, and hysterical stories that make me laugh until I cry.
here’s to celebrating another trip around the sun with my favorite little Cancer crew and summer 2026 🦀♋️
now excuse me while I recover for a week …
