Great news, the shop is back online!

While I don’t know what the next few months are going to look like, I will do my best to keep things updated and in stock (while also being a displaced, full time caregiver) to my partner while he recovers 😅 Hopefully on your end things will seem as normal as possible (because we all need some sense of stability, right?)

A HUUUGE THANK YOU to the people who took the time to reach out, offer support, and purchased gift cards over the last few weeks- THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I knew that y’all were great folks, but WOW did y’all surprise me with your kindness and generosity! There were a few people who really went above and beyond by sending the sweetest messages, gift cards for food, and donating to my partner’s Go Fund Me. I wanted to let you know that those messages really gave me hope and lifted me in what has been one of the darkest times in my life. I hope one day I’ll get to see you in person and give you the largest hug imaginable. So much gratitude for you all 💛

🍊🌼 She’s BAAAACK! The beloved Orange Blossom Mist is back in stock, but with a very different scent profile.

After struggling to find a reputable supplier with a neroli hydrosol I liked, I’ve finally settled on one (until the war ends and I’m able to get the OG again 😭)

This hydrosol smells less floral, and more like honey- it’s sweet, light, youthful, and will leave your skin tightened and glowing. It’s also my new favorite hair mist te-he!

🌁 in the Ferry Building will be closed for renovations (for the next few months) and re-opening this summer. This location has been a cornerstone of Kalme Co. It’s where the majority of my sales—and my personal income—have come from for the past several years. If you’ve discovered Kalme Co through Fog City Flea, I would be deeply grateful if you’d continue to shop with me online during this time. Every order truly makes a difference, and online orders are where I make the most money from these hand-made products.

📦📪 To help bridge this transition, I’ll be offering FREE SHIPPING for a limited time, as a way of making it easier to stay connected and moisturized, wherever you are.

🙏 Please encourage your friends and family who are curious about cleaner skincare products to give Kalme Co. a try during this time. Local, in-person pick up near Alamo Square Park will continue to be offered.

For anyone who prefers shopping in person, you can find the list of current stockists linked In the bio - most are small businesses who could also use the support 💗

Blessed Imbolc, Witches ⛅️ Imbolc marks the quiet return of light—an in-between moment when winter hasn’t quite loosened its grip, but something new is clearly on its way.

In honor of this stirring energy, I’ve sent out the first (ever!) Kalme Co. newsletter filled with herbalist-inspired tips, seasonal DIY recipes, mindful choices around cleaner and safer ingredients, and even a section that highlights local events with purpose. I’ve been wanting to create a community centered newsletter for, like.. idk, 2 years, so I’m celebrating finally putting it out into the universe

🍊 This month’s focus is on Citrus and ways to use the peels for a brightening at-home facial, to clean and freshen your home, and a tea that’s reminiscent of sunshine ☀️ For now, find the recipes on the KALMING CLEAN blog linked in the bio or at the bottom of the website - I’ll get them on socials soon. I’m still thawing from winter over here

I’ll be joining the nationwide strike tomorrow in protest of the terrorism that is facing this nation’s communities. The atrocities that are being committed by ICE and the government are not only appalling and frightening, but utterly heartbreaking. Regardless of your political beliefs, I hope that if you’re here, you have enough decency and empathy to recognize that people who are simply trying to live life as best they can are being harmed and killed. Protestors are being murdered for exercising our right of free speech. I stand with those people and have faith that love will overcome all of the hate we are seeing across the world right now.

Please wait to place any orders until after 1/30; I won’t be shipping any orders until 2/2. If you need advice on how to call out of work in a way that holds more legal standing, please swipe for advice from

Stay safe. Stand in love. Be the light.

“As we remember and reflect on the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., there are valuable lessons that should give us hope that we can overcome what we face today in a divided and teetering America.

King said: “In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence.”

Would he be discouraged by growing advocacy and tolerance of acts of racial hatred and violence — committed by young and older Americans alike? If we, like King, still have faith in America’s promises, despite her imperfections and failures, and faith in the decency and goodwill of the majority of our fellow Americans, we will continue to rise and protect this nation and work to make our way of life better.

Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and work stood for more than the fight for civil rights. King fought for the fulfillment and realization of America’s principles, values and promises. (For all peoples)

When you hear the words and see the actions today of some of our elected officials at every level of government, do you sense that they, like King, are using our fundamental governing documents as guides?

What are we willing to stand for during these challenging times we are facing?” - inserts taken from a commentary piece in the WA State Standard, written by Janice Ellis

Kalme Co. got featured in a REAL gift guide created by REAL journalists who have actually tried & tested the products!

Most gift guides are glorified advertisements paid for by companies who want to be featured. I understand that they’re a form of marketing, but they’ve always felt disingenuous and a bit weird to me. So, I’ve avoided them. Not anymore! This gift guide comes to you from - a worker-owned media collective in the Bay Area that’s bringing you “independent journalism with a bite!”

I can’t think of any time when we’ve needed independent journalism more, so subscribe to Coyote, check out their holiday gift guide, and snag a bottle of Majick face, body, & hair oil or a recovery bath salt & wand for the people still on your gift list.
