Im back at the beautiful Pesea Hotel, in Huntington Beach California, the same place where my love for Natural Beaded Rows extensions really took off. Where I first jumped in and learned the method that delivers movie star, glamorous hair every👏🏼time👏🏼!

The nostalgia is unreal.

My first NBR convention was in 2018, 5 months after I had my baby girl….I brought the whole family, since I was breastfeeding my daughter. I was determined and the convention was so challenging yet changed the way I viewed myself as a mother, wife, and business woman in the very best way!

I’m so excited to see what this week holds for me personally & professionally. I’m ready to grow as a businesswoman, grow as an individual, grow as an artist. Blessed to have the best hubby holding it down at home so I can really dig in.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again NBR is life changing. LFG

People say not to live in the past or the future; to be present. I agree, but if I couldn’t see my past or future self, I wouldn’t be so determined to keep grinding, hustling & growing. It gives me purpose and if fuels my passion as a mom, wife & business woman.

I thought it would be cool to share my professional WHY. Why I chose and still choose to be part of the beauty industry today.

I have the same love and passion for the beauty industry, if not more now, than back in the day as a young artist new to the game. Being a hairstylist is way more than many may imagine it to be. We are healers, listeners, artists, trendsetters, and beauty enhancers. It’s not an industry for the faint of heart. If you eat, breathe and sleep dreaming of art and beauty this may be the career path for you.

Growing up here in Arizona I wanted to be in the fashion or beauty industry and would work with the cutting edge trends of every season. At the age of 19 I landed in the beauty industry which sparked a flame deep within!

I took a lil step back to raise my littles but you better believe I’m diving back in baby. Thanks for following along on my little hair journey. Here to inspire the artists to keep GROWING! 🖤

Why do my curls only last a day?!

Does this sound like a thought you have every time you style your hair? Do you spend so much time on your hair, only for the curls to make it through the day, possibly the night… but never the next morning? If you are struggling with your fine or unruly hair I can totally relate, my hair never holds the style for long.

What does pampering YOU look like?

Unfortunately when I ask women what they do to pamper themselves many of them respond as though I’ve just spoken in a foreign language.

For us mamas pampering means caring for our children day in and out. Pampering ourselves can quickly become an alien concept.

Have the courage to pamper yourself. You are worthy of receiving as well as giving. Taking care of yourself is a healthy thing to do.

What does pampering you look like?

For me are my go to since my hair is the crown that never comes off, and let’s just say my natural hair doesn’t “give me life”. I love my hair extensions and the instant confidence boost they give me when I am rocking a row or two.
