Poppy's Buttons

For those of you who didn’t know, my bows are completely self made and hand cut. For years I have been preparing for craft fairs by hand cutting every single bow, it could take over a month just to prepare for one fair. Thanks to the Cricut, I have fully loaded my templates in and I am ready for all of your bow needs. Here is the first figure skate cut, looks just like the hand cut bows with some upgraded materials. New items and patterns should be up in the Etsy shop slowly over the next month. If you have any custom ideas, let me know, we can collaborate together!

I’m happy to announce that I will be starting an ice skating apparel line in the near future. All pieces will be made to order and only require you to measure your kiddos for sizing. I have sizing information available to help. Some lead time will be needed for fabric sourcing, but I will carry some fabric in house. I can make over the boot pants, practice skirts or dresses in a variety of patterns or solid colors, matte or shiny finish. Prices will start at $30+. The fabric is a standard swim fabric, so thin for skaters who need flexible movement but a material that can handle being wet from inevitable falls. All apparel can be machine washed and hung to dry. Message me with your interest, but more details will follow soon!

As with the seasons, everything is changing and Poppy’s Buttons is no different. Between my muse growing older and Covid, new production has slowed down a bit, but I wanted everyone to know we are still here to create for you! I have a fair amount of inventory in stock and can make anything that isn’t fresh, this includes any cat ears, foam, ribbon or felt bows. Themed or not!

I am also working on a new endeavor for the little skaters out there, so stay tuned for that once I get the details ironed out on exactly how this will work. In the meantime, I figured I would show a preview of what is to come for that. That post will be to follow.

I just worked the Skokie Park District Holiday Fair and if I had to say one item was most popular, it would be these unicorn cat ears. In fact I am a little mad at myself for not posting them earlier. They are $15, available in 7 colors and posted on the Etsy! Magenta is not pictured.

Just did my first show at the local park district this past weekend. The weather was not great, but thanks to those who came out! I still have a little of everything, so if you are looking for great stocking stuffers, the glitter pair bows are perfect!
