MelN Shade is a healing brand created for Black women who are tired of pouring from an empty cup.
We create intentional tools — starting with Pour Into Me, a 90-day guided healing journal designed to help you process, feel, grow, and return to yourself. Through weekly themes, daily reflection prompts, shadow work, and letters to self, this journal meets you exactly where you are.
MelN Shade was founded by Angela Clark — author, journal creator, and wellness advocate — out of a personal need for healing spaces that were built with Black women fully in mind.
Because you deserve to be poured into too.

Life is full of uncontrollable laughter and love when you have five granddaughters ranging from 1 to 6 years old! 🤣 From the tiniest giggles to the boldest little personalities, there's never a dull moment. Whether it's the two 1-year-olds trying to outrun each other to claim a seat on my lap, the laidback 3-year-old taking in the antics of the others, a 4-year-old telling me how things should be done, or the 6-year-old who takes her role as the oldest sister and cousin very seriously by bossing the other around . Yes, my days are filled with endless joy and hilarious chaos, but I wouldn’t change a thing!
