DICO Sisters

We are Licensed General Contractors.

Guys!

Behind the scenes footage of our journey to becoming licensed GC’s in the State of California.

Women in Business Temecula Valley

We’re officially accepted.

This is the list between us and our license:
-Contractors bond
-qualifiers bond
-General liability
-workers comp (or the exemption)
-fingerprints

Fingers crossed we get licensed sooner than we thought.

We opened it you!
Our application number is officially here… which means we’re accepted with no issues and can finally move forward with the CSLB and insurance. This is real now!!

We need your help with two things (1) We’re about to shop for insurance, share your knowledge.

(2) we’re building our network of go-to trades in San Diego, Riverside, Orange County. Licensed and insured.
We are looking for all trades.

Thank you to everyone following this journey - it means everything ☺️

What do you do when 2 professionals tell you opposite things?
We asked before we submitted, did it by the book… then someone with expertise told us we’d made a mistake. But we didn’t flip just because the last person sounded sure. We looked at the real cost of changing, did our research, slept on it and talked it through as sisters. Then we made the call that fit US. Sharing our journey not giving advice always talk to your own professional’s.

You CAN network before you’re licensed. We found a women in business event through our local chamber of commerce. We go to build relationships, not to pitch our business because we are not licensed yet. Questions? Drop them below.

Bet you didn’t know this: it’s illegal to advertise before you have your contractor’s license number. So no website, no marketing, no here’s what we do, not yet. But that doesn’t mean we’re sitting still. We’re using this time to build our brand. The wait isn’t dead time. It’s prep time.

We submitted - this is what happened next 🔜
Saving this for anyone walking the same road. Questions? Drop them below.
