Down below I’ve screenshotted ingredients from 2 separate popular soap companies, you can find an any big box store.
I’ve also posted the ingredients of a Lavender bar from my collection.
This is what I mean when I say my ingredients are straight forward, and as clean as I can make them. I don’t used fragrance perfumes, harsh preservatives, or dyes.
But with that, means that my bars will not smell as strong, or last as long as the more popular store brands, and they may even melt in the direct Texas sun after a few hours. But all in all, I’m not downing these companies, I’m just showing you the difference 🧼
❌HARMFUL INGREDIENTS USED IN COMMERCIAL SOAPS ❌
“-Sodium lauroyl isethionate can pose skin irritation depending on the individual’s suseptibility and concentration used. However, it is considered to be, generally, a milder option.
Sodium lauroyl isethionate is created by combining fatty acids with isethionic acid. Isethionic acid is created by combining sodium bisulfite in an aqueous solution and ethylene oxide. Ethylene oxide is a known carcinogen. Traces of ethylene oxide can remain in the product, along with carcinogenic 1,4-dioxane.
-Sodium Tallowate: Danger and animal fat
Fat from animals…pigs, cows, sheep, even cats and dogs from euthanized in animal shelters. Fat is where toxins are stored, and fat from factory farmd animals means that their fat is full of pesticides and other residues from genetically modified corn and soy they were fed.
-Sodium Isethionate:
Should be ok, I use to check on a French website specialized in chemicals and this ingredient is not ranked yet
-Sodium Stearate: Bad for environment
Suspected to be an environmental hazard
Cocamidopropyl Betain or Sodium C14 C16:
The OR is not legal in an official international formula ingredient list…
Sodium C14 C16 i used primarily as a detergent cleansing agent, but is potentially drying and irritating for skin.
Cocamidopropyl betaine is a synthetic surfactant; it has been associated with irritation and allergic contact dermatitis, reactions that could be due to the ingredient itself or to impurities present in it, such as 3-dimethylaminopropylamine.
It is in the Canadian environment toxic list…
-Sodium palm kernealate is from palm oil which gives no benefits for your skin, this oil is used only in cheap soap and cosmetics.
-Parfum: Respiratory toxic, immune system toxicity, organ system toxicity, allergen, irritant, environmental toxicity…
The world parfum or fragrance on the ingredients list represents an undisclosed fuzzy mixture of various chemical scents and ingredients used as fragrance dispersants
-Tetrasodium EDTA: Danger…organ system toxicity, absorbtion enhancer
It has the strong ability to hold heavy metals…
One…it is toxic for your organs…
Two:… it is enhancing the absorbtion of other toxic and dangerous ingredients in this formula…
-Tetrasodium Etidronate:
It is authorized in cosmetic but…use only with restrictions…
CL77891 or Titanium Dioxide: Danger!!! Can cause cancer and:
Can cause cancer, organ toxicity, abdominal pain, sore troats, chemical pneumonitis and presence of fluid in the lungs” -francesorganicbeautysecrets. com
