“Must be nice to get your nails done.”

It is nice.

But it’s not really about the nails.

It’s about taking a little time for yourself and remembering that you’re still a person outside of motherhood.

For some moms, that might be getting their nails done.
For others, it’s reading a book, going for a walk, gardening, working out, grabbing coffee with a friend, or simply sitting in silence for a few minutes.

Whatever it is, it matters.

Because moms spend so much of their lives taking care of everyone else that we often forget we need care too.

Taking time for yourself isn’t selfish.

It doesn’t make you a bad mom.

It makes you a human being.

And when moms feel refreshed, supported, and cared for, everyone around them benefits.

So if there’s something you enjoy, make time for it.

You deserve that too. 🤍
