When we joined The Woodlands Farmers Market at Grogan's Mill we were the new farm working to find our place.
DD discovered us that very first day, and it feels like she's been cheering us on ever since.
Whether she's stopping by for fresh microgreens, a satisfying shot of wheatgrass juice, or simply coming over to say hello — she always brings warmth, encouragement, and genuine enthusiasm. On busy market days, I've looked up more than once to find her chatting with customers waiting in line, sharing about her favorite microgreens and telling them about her experience with Root 1867.
Nobody asked her to do that.
That's simply who she is.
Kind.
Authentic.
Encouraging.
As a small farm, support like this means so much. We grow because good people share us with other good people. They remind us that what we're growing isn't just food—it's community. 💚

Found this volunteer turnip growing wild beside the slab where we rinse out our microgreens trays.
Seedlings are always sprouting up along this edge, but every once in a while, one decides to fully thrive. 🌱
No perfect garden bed.
No intentional planting.
No special care.
Thriving wild beside the slab.
Through smplicity of good seed, water, and determination, nature always finds a way to remind us how resilient growth can be.
