I just got back from my first trip to Blade Atlanta, and what an experience it was.
While I didn’t sell as many knives as I had hoped, I had an absolute blast. I met a ton of talented knifemakers, got to handle some incredible work, talked knives for three straight days, and made some great new connections. For a first-time trip, I’d call it a win.
Now that I’m back, I’m thinking about running another wraffle, and I want your input!
What type of knife would YOU like to see in the next Wraffle?
🔥 Chef Knife
🔥 2-Piece Matching Set
🔥 BBQ Slicer
🔥 Filet Knife
🔥 Mini Santoku
🔥 Paring Knife
🔥 Damascus Piece
🔥 Something Else?
Drop your vote in the comments, or tell me what specific style you’d love to have a chance at winning.
Who knows… your suggestion might end up being the next Wraffle prize.

One of the coolest products at Blade Show Atlanta 2026 — Contender Machine Works. Darren has engineered some genuinely game-changing tooling for bladesmiths.
The water-cooled waterfall platen completely eliminates heat buildup by circulating water through the platen with the ability to spray directly onto the belt or workpiece. Ceramic liner on the flat section, hardened D2 insert on the radius with quick-change capability for different plunge lines. Never seen anything like it.
The ultra-thin 1/16” AR500 platen is equally impressive — built to grind inside a 3/16” open-end slot and tough enough to take the abuse. Flip it around and you have a short slack belt grinding area.
Got to watch Neels Van Den Berg pick one up on the spot. That says it all.
