Compromised Integrity of Hair
Back Story:
This client had 100% natural hair and visited a service provider for a blowout. After her appointment, she noticed her hair was unusually straight and had a chemical odor. Shortly after, she began experiencing thinning, excessive shedding, and breakage at the scalp.
To avoid manipulating her hair, she opted for protective styles, but the breakage continued. Over time, her hair became noticeably shorter due to brittleness and continued breakage.
She came into the salon today for a hair analysis, restorative treatments, silk press, and precision cut. During my analysis, it was evident that the integrity of her hair had been altered without her permission, possibly by a relaxer or texturizer that may have been applied at the shampoo bowl to achieve a straighter result.
We began the process of restoring her hair. We were able to breathe life back into her hair.
Her healthy hair journey begins now. One appointment at a time. 🤎✨
