I saw a post recently touting the mosquito-repelling qualities of Catnip and needed to find something more scientific than just a meme to relay what some have had passed down for generations. For years I have used Catnip hydrosol and it truly works. Just be prepared to keep reapplying due to the evaporative nature of the hydrosol. You may consider a 6% dilution of Catnip Essential Oil in a lotion or body oil for longer lasting effects.
Here is a science backed study which is honestly the evidence that keeps me believing in the medicines of Mother Nature above the marketing of folk remedies. In some instances Catnip was found to be just as effective at DEET.

My son went to Florida after his high school graduation. The most I’ve heard from him is that his shoulders are cooked! He’s always going to be my baby and as I stand here mixing up the Happy Baby Wash , so gently soothing, all I can think is I wonder if he’d enjoy some when he gets back home… followed with Sunburn Soother and some ultra soft sheets.

Howdy!
