🦌Attention Hunters 🦃

Admittedly, I know nothing about hunting. I would also be a terrible hunter and everyone would really dislike me being in the woods. For one thing, I don't have a quiet bone in my body and two, I would definitely make noise to scare the animals to save them... 😅 🙃 So I need to stay out of the woods. ANYWAY!

The one thing I do know is that you don't wanna smell like cologne, laundry detergent, or soap. So, what do hunters do?? I have actually heard of some horrifying stories but that is for another day.

*Finally* INTRODUCING DIRT NAP!

I have actually made this body wash for my cousins husband for years and he was out, so it was time for more. This time, I decided to make a few more bottles just in case any hunters would like some.

What does is smell like? Dirt. Nothing else. Just wet dirt. So obviously this isn't for everyone. This is definitely a specialty item. If I sell the extras I made, I am more than willing to make more but only at special request. I don't see any point in having it floating around the store outside of hunting season.

I sure do go the long way around making post, don't I? I just feel like I have to tell everyone everything I am thinking as I am typing it out. 🤷‍♀️ Oh well. This is who I am.

I was able to get quite a few Graybeard's Beard & Body Wash made and put out today. This is by far the most popular item in the Graybeard's line, so the plan for the new year is to at least double the batch sizes I am making in order to keep in it stock for longer. Just like most of the items that I make, a little goes a long way and a bottle can last quite a while.
Also, if you are hoping for a specific scent, just let me know! If I have the body wash base made and the fragrance, I can usually do special scents in a few days.
Later today, I will share a super special scent that I made. I have never openly sold this scent in the store. It has only been special order. This time, I made a few extras in case anyone else wants some. *Hint* Hunters love to use the scent...most other people do not.

As promised, Dead Sea Clay and Charcoal Exfoliating Face Cleanser and Foaming Garden Hand Scrub were both made and put out on the shelves today.

Tomorrow, I will be spending the day getting Beard and Body Wash made and available ASAP. ☺️

In the last few months, I have received multiple messages and customers in the store with concerns about parking. I totally understand and I am also guilty of skipping a shopping trip if I can't find parking. There isn't anything I can do to help with parking in front of the store, but I can tell you that the Rotary Parking Lot is completely free.

Directions to the Rotary Parking Lot in Downtown Waynesboro
Coming from Greencastle (Route 16 East):
• Follow Main Street into downtown Waynesboro.
• At the light where Potomac Street crosses Main, turn RIGHT onto South Potomac Street.
• Turn LEFT at the next street. That is 2nd Street.
• The Rotary Parking Lot is located on the left not far down 2nd Street.

Coming from Rouzerville (Route 16 West):
• Follow Main Street into downtown Waynesboro.
• At the light where Potamac Street crosses Main, turn LEFT onto South Potomac Street.
• Turn LEFT at the next street. That is 2nd Street.
• The Rotary Parking Lot is located on the left not far down 2nd Street.
Parking is FREE there!

The lot also connects to downtown Main Street by a pedestrian walkway called Polly's Path. You can use that walkway or there is a small alley way between my building and the one beside me that you can also use.

In the photo, the yellow arrow points to my store, the aqua square is Rotary Parking Lot and the red lines show the walkways. And just for the funny...the blue dot shows where I am sitting in the back of the store.
There are signs you can also follow that show where to find the free parking along most of the streets in the general area.

I am truly sorry that a few of you felt inconvenience by the parking situation, I wish there was more I could do. At this point, it seems like the issue won't have an easy solution.

Expect to see me coming up with ways to incorporate more Activated Charcoal in products.... somehow, everytime I go look for the bags of it to fill my little container, I don't see these bags. I believe there must be a Charcoal gnome living in my storage area. So, I go ahead and order a pound more. (Which is enough to last me at least the rest of this lifetime). Amazingly, the second I place the order, the activated charcoal shows back up! I currently have enough to last me 5 lifetimes. 🙄

Just an FYI, this is intended to be a free event, so we ask that no one sets up for sales.

For the 2nd year in a row, we will be set up at the Mainstreet Waynesboro, Inc. park to give out treats. If anyone would like to set up and give out goodies, please reach out to Joe at the email or text on the flyer.

This is by far his favorite thing to do all year. He loves halloween and kids, so he really enjoys going all out.

We will also have a wonderful husband and wife duo that are huge supporters of Main Street there grilling up some hot dogs for everyone to enjoy.
