Labs came back…. Guess who’s getting a blood transfusion sometime today

Yesterday vs today’s counts

ANC(her immune system)
4360 vs 1210 in 12 hours her counts dropped over 3k

Platelets
102 vs 84

Hemoglobin
9.1 vs 7.6 (since she’s so close to 7, transfusion it is.)

So looks like we will be getting out of here sometime this evening because bloods run for 3 hours.

So here’s how our nights going.

Temp is back down
Headache is better (a little pain here and there)
She’s stuck in isolation due to her fever. She will be hooked up to an IV over night.

We came totally unprepared. Thank goodness for Walmart delivery to get us PJs and a few necessities.

Not how we wanted to start our day.

Last night Kehlani was screaming in pain that her head hurt. Called the On call doc, said to give her Tylenol and call back if it doesn’t help. She went to sleep shortly after the Tylenol kicked in..

This morning she woke up complaining of her head hurting again, but this time she has a fever of 101.5. Which means straight to the hospital do not pass go.

So we are about to head that way… dad’s putting gas in the car. Pray it’s nothing serious and we can go home after some labs, antibiotics and Tylenol.
