When a Podiatrist Gets Injured… Call a Podiatrist! 👣❤️
This weekend, I twisted my foot/ankle and sustained a sprain. As healthcare providers, we’re usually the ones caring for everyone else—but every now and then, we need a little TLC ourselves.
A huge THANK YOU to my amazing soror, colleague, and friend, Dr. Lubrina Bryant, who made a house call when I needed it most.
She arrived with:

✔️ Ibuprofen

And of course, we shared a bowl of my homemade Dominican seafood stew while catching up. 🇩🇴🥘

As a board-certified podiatrist and breast cancer survivor, I’ve learned that when women share knowledge and stand together in advocacy, we create real change in healthcare and in our communities.

Today, Talks with Dr. D honors the passing of Rev. Jesse Jackson—a man who taught the world how to speak truth with courage and lead with conviction.
Rev. Jackson showed us that our voices matter, that faith and action can coexist, and that advocacy is a lifelong calling.
His life reminds us why conversations matter—and why we must keep showing up, speaking out, and standing firm for justice and equity.
Rest in power, Rev. Jackson.
