One of my Christmas gifts! 😍 This cute little bath friend removes chlorine, contaminants and VOCs for a much cleaner water quality.
My skin was so soft after my first bath with this filter!

Happy New Year!! This quote is by one of my favorite yoga teachers and someone I admire greatly. It talks about about how yes we need softness, gentleness, and reprieve from the hustle culture, time to be and not do, do, do. There’s a balance to it, and pushing yourself to grow, to dream BIG, and push past your comfort zone is also something to strive for.
I encourage you to dream BIG, even if the dreams may sound crazy in your head! Shoot for the moon and you’ll land among the stars. ✨

I dream of a world where nutrition is sought after and prized and people see the importance of quality nutrition on mental health. ✨
This isn’t just an isolated success story—it’s proof of the incredible power of food to shape our minds, behaviors, and futures.
Ultra-processed foods disrupt the microbiome, trigger chronic inflammation, and impair brain function—leading to mood disorders, impulsivity, and even aggressive behavior.

Let’s talk a little about the Gut Microbiome. 🦠
The left side of the picture is the Standard American Diet(SAD), notice the lack of diversity in plants and trees. We can imagine the billons and billions of microbes in our gut being killed off by antibiotics, produce grown with pesticides, or lots of ultra processed food.
On the right side, notice the lush, healthy looking forest. There are millions of different plants, insects and animals that call this place their home. This is exactly the goal that we want for our gut. More of the good bacteria to protect our body, immune system, and our brain! We want lots of different species of bacteria, they all do different things within the body.
A few ways to help restore healthy gut bacteria -
🦠add variety to your plate
🦠eat the rainbow every day
🦠add fermented foods to your diet
🦠avoid foods grown with glyphosate(round up), as they are microbiome disrupters

Let’s talk about p**p! 💩 I know some of you may be appalled that I’m even talking about this BUT hear me out! 😅
💩 There is a wealth of information about your body and health in your toilet bowl! It only takes a few moments to take note of color, size, shape, and how many times it takes to wipe.
I could talk forever about p**p and how interesting it is, but for now I challenge you to take some mental notes!

If we aren’t actually digesting well and our body isn’t able to efficiently use the nutrients we give it, our energy and quality of life suffer.
Some signs your body is struggling…
🌱bloating after meals, everyday
🌿stomach pain
🍃burping often, reflux
🌱not p**ping everyday
Too often we normalize these symptoms when they are absolutely not normal. It’s our body’s way of talking to us and showing us it needs help. First it whispers, then it talks, then it will yell or scream for help if we don’t listen.

In a state of stress, the body slows digestion to use that energy to, say…fight off a tiger. The body can’t tell the difference between our modern day stresses and those of our ancestors.
A few things to think about for optimal digestion…
🌱take a 3 - 5 deep breaths before eating
🌱eat in a calm environment
🌱take your time, don’t rush
🌱limit distractions if possible
🌱chew each bite 30x!
