Introduction

​I was raised to believe that young love cannot come in the purest form. That it is simply a reflection of one's need for the other, or both people believing that they can gain something from the other person
without getting hurt. This is why so many relationships are seen as some weird or rather temporary with no strings attached.

​It is society that pushes us to believe that genuine, real love is either manufactured for content or that one is only in it for the money. These doubtful narratives have become the expectation, turning the honest experience of connecting with another person into something transactional.

​But what if love can be pure, even for the young? Not in the dramatic, movie sense, but pure for its simple warmth, its safetyness, or its solid sense of security. Perhaps, through my own teenage eyes, I will never truly know if that kind of love is possible.
