We ran a successful Gender program in the form of a Young Men Empowerment program with a group of 33 young men at the Brandkop Farm near Lorriesfontein, Namaqua.

This Gender prog intends to create an opportunity for young men to intentionally reflect on the role of men in the modern day society. Over the 5 days the participants are taken out of their comfort zones and placed in the wilderness to camp out, unpack and engage in carefully facilitated discussions on issues like:
The role of culture in GBV
Sociatal Norms that defines roles of men and women
Role of men in the HIV pandemic

The participants are also exposed to self reflection exercises and play therapy in the form of games and developmental activities.

This was another fun filled program. Looking forward to many more.

On top of providing Consultancy and Outdoor based programs, we are in the process of applying for accreditation as a Skills Development Provider (SDP) with HWSETA. Happy hunting and expansions.
