I really like Sedley, I think olivier cresp delivered exactly what PDM requested . The scent is Minty, fresh and uplifting , to my nose it's unique as I can't think of another fragrance that smells the same . I have the 2020 bottle and the performance is pretty good but percival does have better longevity.

I have 3 parfums de marly , layton, , Percival and sedley. Out of all the pdms I have , sedley has the most signature scent potential. It isn't a projection monster which could make it ideal for the office or signature scent.

This is one of my favourites.. Fresh.. Citrusy.. Signature scents.

Starry Night by Montale is a Amber Floral fragrance for women and men. Starry Night was launched in 2015.
Top notes are Apple, Bergamot and Lemon; middle notes are Rose, Patchouli and Jasmine; base notes are White Musk, Powdery Notes and Amber.

Shining like a star, Bergamot from Calabria lights the way to a floral heart of Bulgarian Rose and Egyptian Jasmine empowered by oriental notes of Patchouli from Sumatra, and leaves a warm sillage of Sensual White Musk and Powdery Notes.

My take on it..
Montale Starry Nights is definitely mix I've not quite experienced before. Rose is what strikes me first, along with, in order of prominence, jasmine, bergamot, musk, and patchouli. Powdery notes are cited vaguely, and this is appropriate as there is a certain powderiness to the fragrance.

This definitely leans feminine on my skin, more so due to the jasmine than the rose, but it's unisex enough to work for men and women alike.

This strikes me as versatile enough to be worn in both the summer and winter alike, as there are softer/fresher elements (rose, bergamot, musk) and the comparatively heavy-handed patchouli and jasmine. Mainly it's a slightly warm weather leaning fragrance but with close to Montale's typical density of the cold weather beasts with which the house mainly seems to be associated.

Performance is quite good, up to the usual Montale standard of excellence.

The fragrance reminds me of my childhood. I use to love these particular type of musk sweets. And this reminds me of the scent. Overall the beginning of this fragrance is heavy but as it dry down, it turns into a pleasant, but not quite a match for me---it's distinct from many Montales and floral offerings but it's nonetheless still a little too feminine on my skin.

Not a blind buy.. Its not for everyone but if you like strong scents.. Then give this a try. It will definitely surprise you..
