Due to poverty, menstruating girls lack sanitary pads and as a result do not attend school until the cycle is over.This increased absenteeism and dropout affects the performance of the girl child. There is increased gender gap between boys and girls enrollment and retention in school.

By providing sanitary pads, many girls will concentrate and complete school. With increased performance, the gender gap between boys and girls enrollment and retention in school will be reduced.

There will be reduced absenteeism and dropout of the girl child. As a result there will be better performance because of regular school attendance and the gender gap between boys and girls enrolment and retention in school will be reduced. Female students face great challenges in terms of hygiene and sanitation.for girls who are menstruating 🩸,these problems compound the difficulties posed by the inability to afford sanitary towels as well as cultural taboos around mentruation. As a result, many girls miss on average of four days of school every month which is over a month in a year,meaning they fall behind in class and sometimes even drop out of school altogether. In addition this force them to go for men to get Menstrual material which in a long run turn into s*x exchange. This is an added challenge to the already existing problems that leads to a high dropout rate of female students in primary and secondary schools.🥹🩸
