For us women training during our menstrual cycle, many of us will find that performance and energy levels vary widely every few days. It is important to consider this when deciding how to train during each one. I've been studying this closely and wanted to share some guidance on what has worked for me and my clients so far.
Menstruation phase: Days 1-5
During this phase, it's common to experience fatigue, cramps, and mood swings. It's important to listen to your body and focus on lighter workouts such as yoga, Pilates, or gentle cardio. This can help ease cramps and promote relaxation.
Follicular phase: Days 6-11
During this phase, estrogen levels start to rise, which can increase energy and endurance. This is a good time to focus on strength training and higher-intensity workouts such as HIIT, endurance training or circuit training.
Ovulation phase: Days 12-16
During this phase, estrogen levels reach their peak, which can lead to increased energy and motivation. This is a good time to focus on challenging workouts such as heavy lifting, sprints, or plyometrics.
Luteal phase: Days 17-28
During this phase, progesterone levels start to rise, which can lead to fatigue and mood swings. It's important to focus on low-impact workouts such as light resistance, walking, cycling, or swimming, and to prioritize recovery through rest and gentle stretching.
Please remember to listen to your body and adjust your workout intensity and frequency as needed. Everyone's menstrual cycle is unique, and it's important to pay attention to your body's signals to ensure a safe and effective training routine.
-This is based around a woman‘s natural hormonal cycle.

💃 Play Time = Happy Soul 💃
When was the last time you put time aside to do something that makes you happy?
I try to take time for myself and practice hobbies that put a smile on your face. Play, dance and enjoying time for yourself can play a huge part in finding your inner child.
We should never be afraid of exploring what makes us happy and I will forever incourage myself, friends and family to do the same.

For those who are wondering this is a levi wand from . I'm still learning the flow of this toy but loving the feeling of freedom and dance with the wand. Who knew playing with a stick would feel so rejuvenating. ✌️

♥️ME TIME♥️
On vacation means time for myself to recharge my physical and mental body which is super important to me.
In a world that tells us to constantly hussle, and to constantly push ourselves into success, it's important to remember to take time for yourselves to rest and recharge your mind body and soul.
It has been 1.5 years since I've had a vacation and I didn't realise how much I needed it till I was here.
It's time for myself without thinking about work or time or schedules. It is just ME time. Time with family and friends who I love. Time to recharge the mind and body so I can come back with more focus and passion for myself and clients.
Eid Mubarak! ❤️

Warm up your body with only THREE simple movements.
1- STAR JUMPS X20
2 - HIGH KNEES X20
3 - BUM KICKS X20
REPEAT THREE TIMES... STRETCH
Warmng up before a workout or class can benift you in many ways. For example it will help the blood flow to the muscles and help prevent muscle sorness and injury.
This small warm up is perfect if you are doing a full body workout. Obviously you can add on extra but this is a great quick warm up.
Don't forget to stretch and mobilise before you start your workout too.
Let's talk about the 'sunshine vitamin'
🌞 Vitamin D 🌞
You would think from living in these hot countries around the middle east that we would be sorted for this but when it come to summer it's often to hot outside to gain your required vitamin D.
This is something to be taken very seriously when talking about optimal health and wellbeing.
Our body uses Vit D for bone development and helps our body absorb magnesium, phosphate and calcium.
People who suffer from vitamin D deficiency can have problems such as fatigue, muscle pains and even depression.
So if you live in a country that you can't get outside due to the heat or if you are coming into winter season I can't stress the importants of supplementing vitamin D into your lifestyle.

A head stand a day keeps the headache away. 😅
I would highly recommend doing a headstand or handstand it daily. Whether it's freestanding or against a wall, going upside down can give you crazy benefits for your body.
If you don't know how to, you can still achieve some of these benefits by popping your head upside down on your bed or couch with your back supported.
Here are a few benefits that getting upside down can do:
1. Helps strengthen shoulders and arms
2. Increases blood flow to head and scalp
3. Relieve stress
4. Decreases swelling in feet and legs
5. Strengthens core
Give it a go! And let me know how amazing you feel after.
