- What is Cefaly? Cefaly is the first External Trigeminal Nerve Stimulator. Cefaly is worn like a

headband and connects to a self adhesive electrode to create micro impulses on the upper branch on the trigeminal nerve to reduce pain and prevent migraine attacks.

- Who is Cefaly for? Cefaly is intended for patients who suffer from frequent severe migraines or headaches, particularly when drug consumption needs to be reduced.

- How is Cefaly used? Cefaly is designed to treat the attack (program one) or to act as prophylaxis (program 2). It should be used once daily to reduce the frequency of migraines. It may be used at anytime however due to its potential sedative effect evening session are preferable. During a migraine attack, Cefaly applied for 40 to 60 minutes reduces pain and shortens the attack. To use the Cefaly, it is essential to cleanse and degrease the skin of the forehead with the Cefaly cleaning wipes or with soap and water. Then, place a self-adhesive electrode on the forehead, then position the headband on the electrode. Cefaly is operated by 2 AAA batteries of 1.5V- each battery is built into the inside of the band. Select the program and active the session by using the main switch.

and safety. Its effectiveness is similar to migraine prevention medications. The difference is that Cefaly has no

: So after 20 days migraine free one finally hit me. Every month the distance between them is getting further apart and I am very grateful for this. Everyday in my morning meditations I visualise myself saying to someone "migraines? Oh yeh I just don't get them anymore!" And I know one day soon this will be true as the length between my migraines is getting longer. In the mean time I do what I always do which is don my and let it work its magic. For me this device means I don't need to take any pain medication apart from the initial triptan. I love the massaging feeling behind my eyes it gives me, it's heaven. I don't know what I would do without it!
