You begin inside the online course portal first, then attend a Live Weekend Training once your online learning is completed.

The live weekends are designed to deepen your skills, build confidence and give hands-on practice.

This past weekend we held our Masters Studio Training… and wow.

These beautiful wool dread extensions were created and installed by the students themselves — from making them, to colouring, right through to install. And honestly… how good do they look.

We covered all extension types — synthetics, human hair, luxe ends, Goddess Wave — and had some really solid conversations around client care, self-care, and the reality of building a business in this space.

Because being great at dreads isn’t just about technique.

From here, our Masters students step into the next level — working alongside me in the studio across six sessions. Real clients. Real hair types. Real challenges. This is where the skill deepens and confidence builds.

And the truth is… learning dreadlocks properly takes time. Years, really. Just like the hair itself — it develops, it matures, it teaches you along the way.

That’s why ongoing mentorship and support is such a big part of what we offer. You’re not just sent off on your own.

We restitch the root area and organise the section properly so no webbing/pulling happens.
We also pride ourselves in having a great technique rather than stitching tightly which damages the hair and follicles.
Our aim is technique over tightness every time!
And you can clearly see this creates wicked Dreadlocks!
