Embraced Beginnings has moved to Embraced Beginnings- Parenting Services Welcome to Embraced Beginnings! I'd love to help you!
When I became a parent I found babywearing uncomfortable and difficult. My baby cried every time, I was beyond overwhelmed and there was limited support and help out there. It took a lot of late nights watching Youtube videos to figure things out. How much easier it would have been to visit a babywearing consultant and receive the help I needed right then and there. Over the years my love of babyw

We love the sunshine but itβs important to keep your little ones skin safe from the sun during the summer months. Here are a few tricks that can help;
βοΈ Sunscreen - don't forget the top of their knees and their little feet
βοΈ Long cotton layers on baby
βοΈ A light cotton swaddle can be used to cover your babyβs legs and feet
βοΈ Wide brimmed hat for you to wear to provide shade for your little one
βοΈ Use an umbrella to provide shade
βοΈ Sun hat for baby
βοΈ Try and stay indoors or in the shade where possible
Itβs important to note that using a carrier in summer is essentially adding an extra layer of fabric to your baby so itβs ok to say that babywearing just isnβt a good option on those horribly hot days. Thereβs still plenty more days in the year to enjoy those carrier snuggles π₯°

Who else is still blown away that weβre almost into next year already!? ππ»ββοΈ
The silly season is full of events and present shopping and crowds which makes it the perfect season to master your Babywearing. Just think about it, no prams to push while juggling shopping bags of gifts, no strangers coughing and sneezing right over your babyβs pram π· and no well meaning family members trying to hold bub when youβre not feeling ready to pass them around the room ππ»
Now is definitely the time to break out your carrier and start getting you and bub comfortable. If youβre needing some help, I do have a few more consults free before the end of the year. Reach out if youβd like to chat more or you can book using the link below ππ»

Did you know itβs Homebirth Awareness Week?
We were so incredibly lucky to experience a home birth with Everley. There was no stress about the other kiddos or packing the car or deciding on when the right time to leave was. We could just relax and let things happen ππ»
Admittedly, her birth was so fast we didnβt even get to fill up the beautiful birth pool we had or even switch on my fairy lights π
But she came into this world surrounded by all the people who loved her most. Including her big brother who was so excited to be one of the first people to hold her π₯°
This photo may not be the best quality but sitting beside my biggest baby while holding my littlest baby was just the most magical thing ππ»
All families should have the option to birth safely in the place they choose π

Today we remember those babies born sleeping. Those we carried but never held. Those we held but could not take home. Those who came home but could not stay.
To all the families mourning their little ones today, they mattered. They were loved. They were an endless source of hopes, dreams, βfirstsβ and possibilities. There is no timeline for grief, take all the time you need, say their names, talk about them, share the dreams you had for them. There is no place for shame here. Only love and support.
So tonight, I hope you join me in lighting a candle to honour the memories of not just our own losses but all those who could not stay. As a wave of light to those who need it the most in their darkest times π―οΈ
