It's almost the end of the year. Things are busy and hectic, kids are emotional and have had enough of school. But when do we as mothers get to have a break and recharge our batteries.. there's only so much power in a battery until it's sucked dry. No matter what you do,unless you stop to recharge you're going to hit your limit.I can say these last few months I have not had time for me and it's taken it's toll. My body is complaining and telling me to rest. If I don't take time soon my batteries will run out and I won't function.

This is a photo of my daughter and I. Just over 11 years ago, I became a mum. Now, they say that the newborn stage is one of the most difficult times. Looking back, yes, it was difficult. Between sleepless nights, rocking her to sleep for 20+ minutes each time she went in her cot and sleep regression just to name a few. I now know that the newborn stage isn't the hardest..infact it's quite simple. What? Simple, surely not! Bear with me! I say it's the easiest, the simplest, because as they grow, things are more complicated. There's now anxiety, there's now friendship issues, feelings of inadequacy, worries, what ifs and why's. What I wouldn't give to take her back to that first stage in life and take away those worries.. but that's not how things work.
Theres nothing you can do except tell them you love them, give them the tools they need to cope and succeed in this ever evolving world. 👣
