We are so lucky in Australia to have medicines subsidised by the government and an extra level support for those on low incomes or with chronic health issues

Our health system is truly broken 😔 everyone on the front lines are working their hardest and doing their best, but it is so broken - I have seen first hand how broken it is, it won't take much to tip it over the edge.

And a reminder..... that the most invasive is often the easiest, in our case it was most definitely the easiest - we started the hard yards yesterday and it's going to take a little bit more than luck to get through

What lessons have you learnt this week?

I've been a little quiet on the socials ...... usually a good indicator there a lot going on that you don't see.

This week top of the list has been moving house!! Not a small exercise, but we are almost done with that.

I attended the Shine Bright Event last night and shared my masks with the attendees, met some wonderful people and made some exciting connections - watch this space for what evolves.

And finally we are preparing for a hospital admission for Master 3 - part of what CF is and how it impacts on us, with zero concern for everything else going on.

Rest assured there will be very little disruption to production here - there are some custom team masks that will be heading out on Thursday, stockists will be restocked and I have ready to post Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh, and Micky/Minnie Mouse - I will upload those to my stories and save as high lights until sold out. There are also custom orders hitting the post on Sunday.

Believe it or not I take the time to carefully match or contrast my fronts and backs so the whole mask is aesthetically appealing.

Let's talk mask exemptions

There are really only a few genuine exemptions to wearing a mask - CCF, spontaneous epistaxis, clostraphobia and sensory perception issues. Add in those under 12.

Because of the exemptions - those who can wear a mask should.

I see so much noise from people who are angry at their GP for not granting then an exemption. And equal noise from GP's who hand exemptions out like lollies.

Noone is wearing a mask because they enjoy it. Everyone would like to be able to interact mask free, but right now we need to follow the mandate.

An exemption is not because you don't like it, it's not because it's uncomfortable, not because "my mask is itchy".

None of us like it, if your current mask is uncomfortable or itchy - try Mini Mask Co - the feedback I get is that my masks fit well, they are soft, they are comfortable and don't move too much when you talk.

Masks are not a control measure, they are a public safety measure. Like so many other things we live with.

It's not just me that encourages my child under 12 to wear a mask, there are many others

The perfectly sweet "Poppy" fabric being worn by its little owner

Like them or loath them, please refrain from verbally abusing parents whose children are wearing masks

With no vaccine for this age group, parents want to do something, children want to mimmick their parents, some children NEED to wear a mask - but to look at them, you may never know their why?

Please be kind, please don't judge, please accept that as a parent it is their choice and for some children there is NO choice

Did you know all Mini Mask Co masks are reversible?

While they are generally presented with the pattern on the outside, you can wear them with the pattern on the inside if that's your thing.

I sew them as neatly on the inside as they are on the outside, so no one will ever know, except you and me 😉

There will be a small hint of the print where the elastic is inserted, but the plain colour will be the focus.

If you've been wearing your mask one way and want to mix it up PLEASE ensure you've washed it first.
