Women have a survival mechanism that kicks in when she feels stressed.

“Tend and befriend” is what can happen when she feels threat is upon her and her baby. ☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆
A woman will literally submit to the person she feels is dangerous to her and her baby.

She will go along with her predators demands in order to not make her predator more aggressive or angry.

She “befriends” her predator in an effort to buy herself enough time to escape an impending attack.

We see this kind of response from women often during violent attacks.

This is also why women are more likely to stay in toxic and abusive relationships.

But we can also see this response during birth.

A mother, as informed and strong as she went into the birth, can feel stress and pressure from her provider and she ends up agreeing to unnecessary interventions that she never wanted to begin with.

Her “tend and befriend” response takes over because she subconsciously is frightened for herself and/or her baby. She wants to stop the attack.

This is why support, people directly on your team, is vital to the birth.

As your body responds to threat, and you may feel like you need to submit to your provider, your birth partner can help bring you out of survival mode and remind you of your original choices.

Doulas are great in navigating this slippery slope of spotting a fearful response from mommy and guiding her back into a normal physiological state of birth while identifying what is a true need for intervention or an unnecessary intervention coupled with the mothers desires for her birth and bodily autonomy.

Womb blood and breast milk are the most pure, powerful and magical life giving forces on this planet.
Yet many do not know/remember this, hence these sacred acts are treated like a sin.

Years ago, in the rise of the patriarchy, men were extremely threatened by the immense power and magic of these life forces, so took womens power away by shaming these sacred elixirs of the gods.

War is one of the distortions brought about by the patriarchy, in an attempt to give males the power of blood. Yet this blood is not the same. It is brought about by violence, by destroying life, by maiming and killing with the motions of feeling stifled and suppressed.

There is only one appropriate way for man to take unto himself the power of blood, and that is for a woman to gift him with her blood, to share her own elixir.

I am here as a keeper of the feminine mysteries, to help humans remember the truth of the womb.

Women and men alike are waking up rapidly and remembering the truth.

I LOVE my new workplace ! It's such a funky and friendly place 😄 ❤ This is the waiting room, which has a massive chalk board of progressive art. Clients are encouraged to have a bit of a doodle while they wait for their appointments 😊💗

I want to take this moment in time to acknowledge all the women, around the globe who are living with issues effecting their reproductive systems, such as endometriosis, PCOS (polycystic o***y syndrome), fibroids, cysts and more ❤ So many women suffer from these issues which greatly effect their lives and general well being in so many ways. They can go through so much physical and emotional pain and turmoil, living with these issues. But what they go through isn't really commonly talked about or achnowledged. Wow, these women are absolute warriors. I have met so many women who suffer with one or more of these issues, yet they still continue to smile and be positive. And they blow me away. Sure they have their down days and times, but they get back up on their feet and fight for their wellbeing and health. If you are a woman who isn't dealing with these issues so well, please don't feel bad about that. It's ok to feel completely crappy and down. But finding help and support so you don't stay there is vital and it's all out there for you! I'm so excited to say that from this coming Tuesday the 16'th of January 2018, I will be serving from SA Integrated Therapies, in Grote street Adelaide in Womb Healing and Fertility massage Therapy 🔻
I will be there all day Tuesdays from 9am into the evenings with the last appointment time of 7pm, and during the day on Saturdays 💗 These unique massage therapies I offer are a deep yet gentle, non invasive abdominal and sacral therapy. They are a nourishing blend of modalities, that when combined bring harmony and balance to the reproductive, digestive and sacral areas. And on a deeper level, re-awakens and re-connects women to their bodies, especially their womb. The treatments are beneficial for women experiencing issues with their menstruation, such as painful and irregular periods, endometriosis, PCOS, ovarian cysts. And of course for women experiencing Fertility difficulties. My treatments I offer are beneficial for digestive issues such as IBS and bloating. As well as for emotional issues such as stress, sexual trauma and held in emotions. I also offer beautiful, healing post natal massage for new mums 💜 These offerings are very nurturing treatments for women to immerse themselves in 💗 I'm so looking forward to journeying with women on their healing journeys! 💫
