It's been so long since I have posted to this page and since I have accumulated so many photos of my work on my phone, I thought it was definitely time for a photo dump 😄.

SPECIAL OCCASION HAIR & MAKE-UP

To mark the end of Ramadan, the lovely Raima had her hair styled and make-up applied by me for the big celebration (Eid al -Fitr).

Hair Styling- loose curls with some front strands loosely twisted back & pinned.

Make-up - a gorgeous smoky navy blue featured in the eye make-up.

It was so fab to catch up with the beautiful Sam Costello as I did her make-up for Cosi and Sammy's wonderful charity event back in February, to support the people of Cambodia. The work they do for people in this impoverished nation is very big hearted and generous.

So lovely to catch up recently with one of my bridal clients, the beautiful Laura. It was a pleasure to do her hair and make-up for her 30th birthday.

👉 Hair: soft, loose curls.

👉 Make-up : Adding gold accents to Laura's eye lids (inner centre) really enhanced the colour of her eyes.
The lipstick colour, Patisserie, was a great choice by Laura. A new favourite

RECYCLING COSMETIC & SKIN CARE CONTAINERS 🌏💋

I love being a make-up artist and hair stylist but I'm also a huge Zero Waste advocate and environmentalist. I try to tread lightly on this earth and so it is important to me that the products I use for my profession can be recycled. I mostly use MAC as I worked for that company for many years and the foundations (pardon the pun) of my kit was built on that brand. It is a professional, quality brand that suits the needs of my clients in many ways especially longevity. They also have a wonderful recycling program called Back 2 MAC where you can recycle your empty MAC product containers. They give you a card & for each container you return you receive a stamp. Once you get x6 stamps you receive a free lipstick of your choice.

Unfortunately the wonderful Loreal sponsored Terracycle any brand of cosmetics (all make-up), skincare and hair products recycling program has stopped, but below is a list of where you can recycle some of your containers that can't go in kerbside recycling. Check out the website Which Bin if you aren't sure.

SPECIAL OCCASION HAIR & MAKE-UP

It was so lovely to catch up with my beautiful friend Gina who I have been friends with since school.❤ We have far too few catch up's but yesterday I had the pleasure of doing Gina and her daughter Peta's, hair and make-up for a special occasion. Gina's partner was celebrating his 50th birthday! 🥂🎊🎉

Gina's make-up - smokey eyes, peachy pink cheeks, soft pinky brown lipstick (MAC - Kinda Sexy as base, pink prolongwear mixed in on top)
Gina's hair - bottom layers of her hair were more loosely tonged, top layers a little more tighter and then very gently pulled out just a touch, to be a bit more natural looking but glamorous for the evening.
Peta's make-up - Peta is very young but wanted some natural coverage on her skin and some emphasis on her eyes. We just used a smidge of gloss for her lips.
Peta's hair - natural beautiful curls which I just enhanced with some soft spiral tonging on selected pieces on the top layer and framing her face.

BRIDAL AND SPECIAL OCCASION HAIR

My lovely, long suffering hair model and beautiful friend, Tania. It was great fun curling and then styling her long locks and seeing her with a look so different from something she would ever do. She likes a very casual look with her hair down. Totally not the hair and make-up type but she looks 👌

Local, Adelaide not-for-profit brand NoRuYeLo use recycled fabric and clothing to make unique, versatile one of a kind garments, as well as an assortment of homewares. You can read about their story and buy online or at The Adelaide Remakery.

Make-up - strong brows, strong smokey eye with accents of purple and copper gold.

BRIDAL MAKE-UP

Congratulations to the lovely and her beau, Nathan on their recent wedding, captured beautifully by and featured in a spread for . It was a fab day doing the make-up for a calm, happy bride and her bridal party at hair (wonderful, friendly, talented staff). A wonderful morning of preparing for what looked like a stunning day :)

SPECIAL OCCASION MAKE-UP

Natural make-up on the beautiful soul Ariane Mueller Menendez for a wedding she was attending. She wanted a fresh, natural, glowing look with a hint of glamour on the eyes. I used my old favourite, MAC Blacktrack fluidline gel eyeliner, Lilicent cream blush, some cream colour base for the lovely glowing highlights and NARS Biscayne Park lip pencil/lipstick combo.
