We are back - (not home just on socials)

Our phones have been returned from the police.

We have received many messages, thank you so much. We may not be able to reply to each one, but please know this post is for all of you. We’ll catch up in the future. For now, all is well, though we have a long recovery ahead.

To our friends, family, and community,

We want to sincerely thank everyone who has kept us in their thoughts, prayers, and for those who generously donated. Your support has meant the world to us.

Recently, we were involved in a horrific accident when our truck collided with a road train that had tipped into our lane. The accident was not our fault—due to weather conditions, possible driver negligence and many other factors, it was too little, too late for us to react. We are still awaiting the final outcome of the police investigation to put the final story together.

We are incredibly lucky to be alive. I do not remember the impact, and unfortunately Patrick was conscious for the incident.

We are especially grateful to have our family, friends, and most of all, Indi Harley, to see us through this.

A special thank you, we want to acknowledge our immediate family members for taking on the kids, supporting us emotionally, and helping with finances and other bits and peices. This is what family is all about but i hope we never have to go through it again. This little post does not do justice to how much we appreciate you.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone involved at the accident scene—first responders, emergency services, and civilians who helped us. Im sure your actions and care made all the difference.

Thank you also to our both our bosses for your understanding, support, and flexibility during this difficult time.

The GoFundMe donations have been overwhelming—your generosity has brought tears to my eyes. Patrick and I want to thank every individual and company who has reached out, donated, or shared kind words. Not one of you has gone unnoticed.

Our injuries are extensive. While we won’t go into every detail, we can say that I did have a small bleed on the brain that was quickly delt with —thankfully, other the critical areas (brain and spine) are cleared for both of us. Other injuries include broken legs, a kneecap, arm, noses, lacerations, nerve damage affecting movement and sensation, vision compilations, multiple facial fractures and facial structure damage, potential brain fluid leaking out the nose and… yes, a missing eyebrow.

We are focusing on recovery and taking things one day at a time. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and prayers.
