One of the most rewarding parts of my job is noticing the little changes.

Not every change is about movement, flexibility or mobility.

Sometimes it's a dog becoming more comfortable with the treatment process.

Over the last few sessions, I've watched Dougal settle a little more each visit.

This week, he quietly shuffled himself around, rested his back against me and settled right in.

It might seem like a small thing, but moments like that always make me smile.

The little things matter. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿพ CLIENT FEEDBACK ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š

Every now and then a review lands at exactly the right time.

Thank you Allison for your beautiful words about Jessie's recovery following TPLO surgery.

As a small business, reviews like this mean more than you probably realise.

Not only do they help other owners find Muscles & More, they remind me why I do what I do.

I feel incredibly privileged to work with so many wonderful dogs and their owners and I'm grateful for the trust placed in me to be part of their journey.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of Jessie's recovery and ongoing care. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿพ

Every now and then someone jokes that I "steal" their dogs.

The truth is, they have a choice.

At 5:30 in the morning I open the car door and they willingly jump in.

No dragging.

No forcing.

No convincing.

They know exactly where they're going.

They spend the morning hanging out with their mates, snoozing between appointments, enjoying their own treatment session, collecting pats and attention, and being part of the little Muscles & More crew.

One of the best parts of the day is seeing Tucker, Midge, Scout and Rebel head out together.

Watching them race around, play, explore and simply enjoy being dogs always makes me smile.

By the time they get home, they're usually exhausted and fall straight asleep.

To me, that's a pretty good sign they've. had a great day.

And honestly, I think that's the best review I could ask for. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿพ

This caught my eye ๐Ÿฅš worth a read if youโ€™re curious about joint health research.
"๐Ÿฆด๐Ÿ”ฅArthritis. Limping. Joint pain. Stiffness. Difficulty getting up.๐Ÿพ"

๐Ÿฆด๐Ÿ”ฅArthritis. Limping. Joint pain. Stiffness. Difficulty getting up.๐Ÿพ

These are some of the most common reasons dog owners search for help online, especially as their dogs get older.

In a randomized, double blind, placebo controlled trial, the gold standard of clinical research, dogs receiving eggshell membrane๐Ÿฅš showed significant improvements in joint pain and mobility after just 7 days. That is surprisingly fast considering many joint supplements take 4 to 8 weeks before noticeable benefits appear.

Eggshell๐Ÿฅš membrane is the thin layer inside an eggshell and naturally contains collagen, glucosamine, chondroitin, and hyaluronic acid in one natural matrix.

That is one reason why included eggshell membrane collagen in MOBILITY MATRIXโ„ข, alongside UC IIยฎ, glucosamine sulfate, MSM, and hyaluronic acid to support healthy joints, connective tissue, muscle function, and long term mobility in dogs and cats.

๐Ÿ‘‰If you would like to explore this science backed mobility solution for your dog or cat, comment MATRIX and we will DM you the link.

Little Poppy has been coming to see me for quite a while now.

Poppy has a luxating patella, where the kneecap can slip out of its normal position, which can affect comfort, confidence and mobility.

For Poppy, the focus has been on supporting her comfort, mobility and quality of life.

That means keeping her nails short, maintaining healthy paw function, encouraging appropriate movement, supporting a healthy body weight and helping her stay as strong and mobile as possible.

She's also been supported with Antinol Plus as part of her overall management plan.

What I love most is seeing dogs like Poppy walk through the door happy, relaxed and ready for their session. ๐Ÿ’š

Every little piece of the puzzle matters.

Sometimes it's the small things that make the biggest difference.

And Poppy is doing a pretty good job of enjoying life. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿค

Benji came in for his second session at Muscles & More following his TPLO surgery at Townsend Vet Albury

This little bloke arrived with plenty to say about the whole situation.

The first session involved some serious negotiations.

Today was a different story.

Both sessions saw the muzzle off.

Both sessions saw the Cone of Shame off.

But today Benji was noticeably more relaxed and comfortable with the whole process.

Before long he was stretched out on the table, relaxed, comfortable and nearly asleep.

Seeing dogs go from worried and defensive to feeling safe enough to let their guard down is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Well done, Benji.

You've come a long way in just two sessions. ๐Ÿ’š

Today Tucker Jane completed her first ever Track 1 at the Northeast Tracking and Scent Club trial and somehow managed to earn herself Track of the Day along the way ๐Ÿ’š

It was not exactly a straight line adventure ๐Ÿ˜…

There were rivers to inspect, Bathurst burrs to investigate, a deep sandy creek bed to launch through, cattle to consider herding and at one point Tucker stood on top of a log like a proud dominant dingo surveying her kingdom before remembering she was actually supposed to be tracking.

Honestly if she had started howling up there I would not have been surprised ๐Ÿ˜‚

But this is exactly why I love watching young dogs learn.

Problem solving.
Working through distractions.
Learning to use their natural instincts.
Building confidence and teamwork together.

Dog sport is never just about ribbons or passes.
It is about the journey, the relationship and allowing dogs to truly use their brains and bodies the way they were designed to.

I am incredibly proud of this wild child Kelpie ๐Ÿ’š

And for a dog that lives life at full speed through tracking, bush walks, paddocks and sport, I am grateful to have the support of Antinol Australia helping keep her moving comfortably and confidently while she grows and develops ๐Ÿ’š

Huge thank you to everyone involved for such a supportive and beautifully run event.
The encouragement shown throughout the day was fantastic to see.

And yesโ€ฆ Tucker absolutely believed the applause during presentations was specifically for her and joined in with her trademark trout mouth barking every single time people clapped ๐Ÿ˜‚

Tucker Jane and Mr Django back carrying on with their crazy lovers antics ๐Ÿ˜…

It always starts politely.

Little kisses.
Quiet faces.
Sweet behaviour.

Then Tucker starts doing her weird little paw shuffle backwards on the table like she is winding herself up for chaos ๐Ÿ’€

Next minute it is cheeky bitey face wrestling with Django throwing down play bows and Tucker acting like an overcaffeinated Kelpie goblin.

Honestly though, watching dogs who genuinely read each other well is one of my favourite things ๐Ÿ’š

Loose bodies.
Soft mouths.
Taking turns.
Just good fun between mates.

This beautiful girl is Asher ๐Ÿ’š

And she truly is the queen.

I feel incredibly privileged to work with her.

Trust like this is never something I take for granted.

After Ashers session today, her mum messaged me saying she was super feisty afterwards and wanted in on the rough housing with the younger dogs ๐Ÿ’š

Honestly, I love hearing things like that.

Sometimes it is not massive changes.

Sometimes it is just that little extra sparkle.

That extra comfort in their body.

That little bit more energy.

That little bit more life.

That is the beautiful part of Canine Myofunctional Therapy for me.

Helping dogs feel more comfortable in themselves so they can keep doing the things they love ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿพ

This workshop has been in the making for a long time.

I have thought deeply about what people actually need. Not just how to trim nails. But how to better understand the dog in front of them. How to create a calmer experience. And how to help their dog feel safe and successful.

Today was relaxed. Hands on. Full of questions, discussion and real life learning.

We spoke about tools, cooperative care, realistic expectations and different approaches for different dogs. Not a perfect set up. Real life situations.

After 16 years of hands on experience, one thing I know for sure is this takes time, patience and commitment from both dog and handler.

But you can learn this. And so can your dog.

The person your dog trusts most is you ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿพ

Thank you so much to everyone who came along and trusted me to share what I have learnt over the years.
