In a society that’s creates pressure to constantly be “on” I’m intentionally finding ways to reconnect with myself.
A gentle walk, a quiet coffee, an unhurried breakfast.
A moment to pause.
To breathe. To feel.

In this pause, I remember.
I am here.
Amongst all the chaos that life creates, the busyness, the pressure, the burdens, the grief, the opportunities, the potential…
I am here.
Today, that’s enough.

I absolutely LOVE helping teenagers understand their hair 🙌➰🙏

Curly hair is always communicating by responding to the environment.

*Humidity
*Drying techniques
*Product applications
*Touching your hair
*Sleeping
*Working out

… all affect the way your hair behaves.

Let’s stop trying to make curls conform and start respecting them as they are.

Curls aren’t static, they’re changeable, adaptable and LOVEABLE!

I haven’t posted in a while.

If I’m honest, I haven’t had the capacity for social media lately. I think that’s important to say out loud ‘cause so many of us feel pressure to be constantly “on.”

But behind the scenes, I’m trying to seek out childlike joy in my days, like getting my face painted 🥰

I’m still here in the salon, helping clients understand their curls and make sense of all the information they’re flooded with.
Teaching people that their isn’t “too much” “too hard” or “too frizzy”.
And reminding them that they don’t need a perfect routine to deserve to feel good about themselves.

So consider this your reminder too: You don’t have to do everything perfectly to still be showing up.
