As a result of an increase in COVID-19 cases over the past week, the Victorian Government has imposed new restrictions which came into effect from 11:59pm (27 May 2021) across all of Victoria.
The Government has indicated that this lockdown will extend for seven days until 11:59pm Thursday 3 June.
The Government has indicated that dental practitioners are authorised health service providers, and are permitted to undertake procedures and surgical treatment in the management of patients with urgent needs that include:
• Facial swelling
• Intra-oral swelling
• Facial trauma
• Dental trauma
• Significant/constant/uncontrollable pain
All non-urgent care must be deferred.

Raglan Dental is back on LEVEL 2 restrictions from Monday 27th April 2020 which means Dentist can now attend to the needs of a broader range of patients not just emergencies. We are open from Monday 27th April, if you need a dental appointment, please contact us directly on 03 5331 2931.
Quick Points:
You will be required to use hand sanitiser on arrival and fill out a questionnaire regarding COVID19, we will also take your temperature and you will be provided with a mouth rinse prior to treatment. Our staff are wearing even more PPE.
Some treatments may be different to what they are used to eg: the use of rubber dam for most procedures and scale and cleans are performed using hand instruments only.

What is a DENTAL EMERGENCY?
Emergency presentations include tooth loss, dental trauma following an accident, acute pain, swelling of the face, neck or mouth, difficulties with opening the jaw or with swallowing or breathing, tooth fracture causing pulp exposure, soft tissue damage, significant post-oral surgery bleeding, persistent ulcers, wire or bracket fractures in orthodontic patients, and any problems that could cause long-term issues without immediate treatment.
