Been a little MIA on the socials lately because I’ve been busy ✨living my best life✨

This job lets me into your lives every day, so I figured it was only fair I give you a glimpse into mine. It’s 20% hair, 80% chaos, and 100% doing things that make me smile.

So… I quit my job…

But don’t freak out! While I won’t be slinging the scissors at Perci anymore, I’m definitely still hairdressing. But first, you have to let me reminisce.

Looking back at these photos, it’s wild to see the journey. For almost 11 years—which is over a third of my life, by the way—I’ve been the luckiest person in the world. I’ve worked with people I’ve loved (and sometimes hated 😂) in a stunning space, making people feel beautiful and honestly just chatting s**t all day.

I’ve been given so many opportunities to grow, from flying to Sydney and Melbourne to learn from incredible hairdressers, to the roles reversing and becoming the salon educator and training our new apprentices myself. Every opportunity I was given, I grabbed with both hands.

Hairdressing is where I found myself. It’s where I went from that scared little schoolgirl in a borrowed Sportscraft dress to the person I am today. The salon is such a special place where time is fast and slow all at once; where secrets are spilled, laughs are shared, and memories are made that will last a lifetime.

This job wasn’t just a paycheck; it was where I grew up. I’ve learned my craft, made lifelong friends, and found my confidence.

There are so many people who helped me get here, but the most important is . You’ve been a boss, a mentor, and a friend. I’m so grateful for everything you’ve allowed me to do and for your constant encouragement.

Now for the part you actually want to know.
I am beyond excited (and terrified as my IBS keeps reminding me 💀) to announce that I’m starting my own business!

I’ll be running my business from the beautiful Salon Lane in Teneriffe from the 12th of January.

I hope I can create a space for you all that makes you feel as comfortable and confident as the salon has made me feel all these years.

I can’t wait to share more with you and thank you for coming on this journey with me.
