🔴 How long does gel polish coating stay on nails❓ 💅 🧐

In fact, it depends on the individual, the same gel polish applied by the same master can behave differently for different clients. In addition to the quality of work and materials, a lot depends on the lifestyle, state of health and “accuracy of wearing”.

🔸 Activity and hand work.
Each of us has a different rhythm of life, and this also affects the stability of gel polish. Frequent contact with water, while cooking or cleaning, constant contact with household chemicals, long-term daily work with the keyboard, gardening, constant training in the gym (especially long-nails are at risk), and just careless handling of nails is all that can cause exfoliate of the coating.

🔸 Health Status
There is another important factor that is very difficult to influence, the state of our body. For example, if the nails peel off, then the gel polish will also peel off along with the detachments on the nails.
During sickness, it is better to abandon any coating of nails. Hormonal drugs, antibiotics, stress and strong emotional experiences also affect the durability of the coating. Separately, I want to highlight pregnancy: here the coating can either stick hard or not hold at all. In this situation, everything is unpredictable, and as practice shows, at different stages of pregnancy, coating also holds in different ways.

🔸 On average, gel polish coating stays stable for 2 weeks, some gel polishes can stay on the nail for up to 5 weeks. But it is necessary to remember such a factor as “aging of the material”: after 2-3 weeks from the time of application the coating can change colour and also have an adverse effect on the nail. Therefore, all manufacturers of gel polishes recommend changing gel polish coating once every 2 weeks.

🔸 How to make gel polish stay on nails longer?

In general, the durability of gel polish coatings best prolongs neat wearing.

• after the manicure, you should not do household chores, go to the sauna or pool. You must wait (at least a day) until the coating “settles down”. In a humid environment, adhesion of materials is disturbed;

• do not use your nails as an improvised tool (do not scrape, do not open the plugs etc) so that chips and cracks do not appear;

• if you see a slight peeling of the coating, do not try to pick it off. You may injure the nail plate. So that this does not bother you, carefully polish or cover with ordinary transparent varnish. It is best to contact your master to correct this nail;

• use gloves for housework (especially with household chemicals) and gardening;

• the coating on the oval-shaped nails holds better than on the square ones, this is due to the lack of corners that like to break;

• if possible, do not file the free edge after the manicure, this can cause to peel off the nail or coating. By trimming or filing your nails, you violate the integrity of the gel polish coating, which will lead to its peeling and the likelihood of chips on the free edge of the nail. It is best to avoid this at all costs;

• Do not forget that gel polish stays for a long time on healthy nails. If they are problematic, set aside a manicure, take care and seek medical treatment if necessary;

• In no case should you remove the gel polish yourself, using improvised means! After that, the structure of the nail is broken. This will not only complicate the subsequent processing and coating, but also make the nail itself more fragile.
