Hey sis! What is stopping you from achieving your healthy hair goals?
Remember‼️ asides using good hair products, a healthy hair routine is also very important.
It's a no brainer that you will see great results in your hair when you keep a healthy and consistent routine.
DNA plays a huge role in determining how fast your hair grows and also the volume of your hair.
However, your hair practices determines how much length you are able to retain.
Hair growth and length retention are two different things. Everybody's hair grows at different rates. The human hair grows about 1/2 and inch to 1 inch per month. But if you are unable to retain the length you've grown, it would seem like your hair isn't growing or your hair has stunted growth like many people believe.
Change those unhealthy hair practices and I would gaurantee You results.
Now let's talk about those unhealthy hair practices
1. Making thight hair styles ( some people believe beauty is pain, and if the hair isn't tight, it wouldn't be neat). If you are in this school of thought, you may have to leave that school. Tight hair styles lead to traction alopecia. In severe cases, it's irreversible
2. Braiding your hair line
3. Not protecting your hair in silk bonnet, scarf or not sleeping on silk pillow case
4. Not washing your hair regularly. ( Some people go up to a month without washing their hair😢. Can you stay a month without having a shower?)
5. Not moisturing and sealing in the moisture
6. Leaving protective styles for too long. Protective styles are meant to protect your hair and reduce over manipulating your hair. But when done wrong, it causes more damage than good.
7. Not deep conditioning your hair after washing your hair. It's just like having a shower and not moisturing your skin 💦. What will you expect? Dry and flaky skin.😫
8. Over styling your hair
9. Not using heat protecting when your use heat tools on your hair
10. Not drinking enough water
11. Eating too much processed foods and sugar.
