Skincare I'm Bringing With Me on my Flight to New Zealand πŸ›«πŸ‡³πŸ‡Ώ

This is my second time visiting NZ in my life, and the first time as an adult human. To say I'm excited is a huge understatement. I'm especially excited because I'll have time on the flight for a quick skin routine to kill time, and I of course chose some of my favourites.

B-Wash. One of my favourite all-time gentle cleansers, and conveniently isn't a liquid 😏

Instamelt soothing sheet mask. Just because I'm on a plane doesn't mean I'll stop trying to reduce my waste. This sheet mask will be great for preparing my skin for a change in environment.

Hydrating Moisturiser. A criminally underrated product, this moisturiser will be perfect to lock in all the goodness. This beauty has all 3 types of moisturisers to ensure my skin remains happy and hydrated during the flight.

And finally, Cotton Soft Sun-Stick. This is a gorgeous sunscreen that features a soft matte finish, so I don't get too shiny during my flight. The applicator is also fun, allowing you to get a set amount per rotation, and it's a decent amount too so you know you're getting enough (but still swipe multiple times).

Do you want to see a video of me doing my skincare on the plane? πŸ€”

Second mask night of 2023 🫢🏻

No surprise, it's yet another smaller Australian brand that I believe is so underrated:

I was blessed enough to listen to CB's founder, talk about the brand in-depth before it launched, and it was from that moment I knew that I would love the brand.

The first beauty member of The Water Footprint Network, Natassia and her team are making water conservation cool again. The thing that I love most about the brand's ethos is that they don't partake in "clean" or "dirty" ingredients. From their website 'it’s not about what we leave out – it’s what we put in.' I LIVE for this quote. Natassia has a history in the sustainability areas of the beauty/wellness industry, and this is so evident in the practices and transparency this business has. They prioritise reducing and being aware of their water footprint, their carbon footprint, and the traceability of their ingredients; something I've never seen a business be so forthcoming about.

But my real obsession comes with their products. The first time I tried their Instamelt cleansing wipes, I knew this was going to change my life. Using their patented fabric and an oil-to-milk cleanser, this wipe makes my bad energy days easier by knowing I don't need to double cleanse; the wipes remove all traces of makeup and sunscreen, and then emulsify with a splash of water to remove the residue, leaving my skin clean...not stripped.

Pictured is me using their Instamelt soothing sheet mask, which I used in the bath and it still makes me giddy when I can yeet the sheet into the water and watch it dissolve, not disperse, into the water. It's great for a little calming TLC, and left my skin feeling so soft and supple.

If you haven't tried this brand, I encourage you to do so by either visiting their website or by popping into a Mecca store that stocks it. Your life will change 😍

My first face mask of the year ✨️

Of course, it had to be For Face Sake πŸ₯° My skin was feeling a bit tight and dry, so I opted to just use the jelly side - Centella Asiatica, hydrolysed HA, and a gentle blend of AHAs.

I cannot begin to describe the luxurious texture this side has, it just melts onto the skin and has a slight cooling sensation. Perfect for when your skin needs a drink, but also some gentle refinement.

This is also a perfect opportunity to confess my love for BWY. I first started to see this brand when Tiana from ._ mentioned it to me when it was still in production. Then I started seeing all my favourite skin creators receive their PR boxes - lovingly made with a personal touch - and I just knew I had to try the product. Before my order even arrived, I started paying close attention to their marketing. It was short, sweet, and no bulls**t. I could not wait.

I even managed to have some small conversations with Davey, one of the creators, about the product and the brand and I instantly knew that this brand was going to be a hit. It's one thing to have great marketing, but the passion and drive behind the brand consolidated my feelings. And I hadn't even tried the product yet!

When it arrived, the vivid blue and yellow packaging made me giddy, and upon my very first use, I fell in love. It was everything my combo skin needed. Each time I use it, I fall in love all over again. πŸ’›πŸ’™

Before VS after Conserve You Face Oil ✨️

Following up my last post...I just can't get over this face oil. I'm officially obsessed.

This face oil has COMPLETELY blown my mind! 🀯

Gifted |

Now that we're heading into summer, my skincare has changed. The biggest change I've made is switching from occlusive products, to emolliative products. From a petroleum-based balm to a face oil, in other words.

The 'Conserve You' face oil lives up to its name, as my skin is always left glowy, soothed, and nourished. It features cannabis Sativa oil, blue tansy (my second favourite oil), and cacay oil - a pregnancy-friendly source of vitamins A and E, and linoleic acids!

But not only is this a gorgeous blend of oils, but it also contains bisabolol and rice extract! Two great ingredients for calming/soothing the skin, making this EVEN GREATER for barrier repair and/or maintenance!

But enough about the ingredients, let's talk about the feel. This oil is incredibly lightweight and smells only faintly of oil. It has no added fragrance either, so I can confidently recommend this for all my sensitised/allergic people. It glides onto the skin, giving a gorgeous, glowy finish without feeling heavy or greasy. I love how it feels, and I only use 3 drops! A little really does go a long way.

This gorgeous product retails for $55AUD, and is available at or conservingbeauty.com πŸ’–

Vitalizing Sunscreen has some major glow! 🌟

I'm not sure how I feel about it. I applied 3 finger lengths this morning, and while the sunscreen blended quickly, I looked like I dipped myself in clear gloss.

I tried a smaller amount of sunscreen when I re-applied, but even then it's quite shiny. I feel like .marc would love this sunscreen, but I prefer a more natural finish.

It has a slight fragrance, it is lovely and hydrating, doesn't sting my eyes, and feels nice on the skin. With a little setting powder, this sunscreen achieves a gorgeous finish!

πŸ‘‰ Bought with my own money, don't sue me TGA.

Friendly reminder that you don't need perfect skin to wear a light coverage foundation 🌟

Did somebody say gay? πŸ‘€πŸŒˆ

is having their After Gay Sale for 25%, and let me tell you why you should be excited.

For Face Sake is a double-formula mask for those of us with combo skin, featuring an oil-controlling clay side and a glow-enhancing gel side. This means you can use the the clay side for your oily areas (my T-zone), and the gel side for the normal or dry areas (my U-zone)!!

The clay mask has a luxuriously thick texture, that dries down slightly but not fully, so you don't have to worry about that awful cracking and drying feeling. Featuring salicylic acid and niacinamide, I have used it as a weekly mask, a spot treatment and event prep! But honestly, the results speak for themselves. The first picture is after the mask has been used, and my skin is radiant!! 😍

The gel side has a really fun texture, that spreads easily on the skin and doesn't dry down. It has some AHAs in the formula for added glow and exfoliation, and is perfect as event prep or a weekly mask.

When I used my For Face Sake before makeup, my normally difficult t-zone was a dream to apply makeup on to, and it lasted much longer than normal throughout the night. My skin was also praised for being glowy, and I quote, perfect. I loved how my skin felt, and I cannot recommend this mask enough.

And as an added bonus, 25% of profits from the mask get to be donated to a charity of your choice! So while you splurge on yourself, you're also helping do some good in the world.

So if you haven't tried this amazing product yet, I hope this awesome sale will encourage you to do so before it sells out - again!!! ❀️
