Inoya: Better periods. Better planet.

Health without hush. 💚

One thing that always puzzled me was how little innovation had occurred in period care, despite the fact that women use these products month after month, year after year.

That question ultimately led to the creation of Inoya, and a much bigger conversation about transparency, sustainability, and raising the standard of period care.

Thank you to QUT (Queensland University of Technology) Alumni for the opportunity to share a little of the story behind Inoya, and some reflections on women's health, innovation, sustainability, and creating change through conversation.

Sometimes conversations about periods begin earlier than we expect.

Whether it's a curious question in the bathroom, spotting a pad in the cupboard, or hearing a conversation between adults, children are constantly learning from the world around them.

The way we talk about periods today can shape whether the next generation sees them as something normal, or something shameful.

Today is Menstrual Hygiene Day (Menstrual Hygiene Day - Global) - a global day dedicated to breaking stigma around periods, raising awareness about menstrual health, and advocating for a more .

• 28 = the average menstrual cycle length
• 5 = the average number of days a period lasts

3️⃣ Millions of people globally still face barriers managing their periods safely due to stigma, period poverty, and lack of access to sanitation and menstrual products.

Building Inoya while raising my daughter has also made me reflect on how little open conversation there still is around menstrual health - and how much that silence has held this industry back.
