Blending innovation with a personalised approach, the team creates refined, low-maintenance looks in a warm, elevated space. Kaitlyn has spent 23 years living and working in France where she trained in the art of cutting, colouring and styling hair at the Academie de Toulouse. Developing a passion for and specialising in French Balayage techniques she quickly developed a strong following. During t
he first year of her apprenticeship, she was a finalist in the Avant Garde category of a national competition called “Les Victoires de la Coiffure”. She then went on to win the Avant Garde category of another national competition called “Métamorphose”. Kaitlyn continued to work in some of France's most prestigious hair salons becoming a master cutter and colourist. She was able to cultivate her creative love for colouring and styling by working in collaboration with Wella in France as one of their digital ambassadors. During this time, she also won a global competition to become one of Wella’s 140 Changemakers. Kaitlyn then went on to continually deepen her knowledge and skills by training and working alongside people such as Raphael Perrier, Silvia Salerno, Ludovic Geheniaux, Ivan Arniaud and Sophia Hilton. One of the highlights of her hairstyling journey so far came when she completed Vidal Sassoon’s “International Masters”course in London with their international creative director Mark Hayes. Kaitlyn’s area of expertise is in freehand French balayage. She loves this technique because it gives her the opportunity to create a unique look for each client. Now located in a heritage Queenslander built in the1880s at the junction between Newstead, Teneriffe and New Farm in Brisbane, she has created a French inspired space, where she can share some French style and flair with her clients.
