Absolutely in love with this incredible new treatment where a skin peel (for brightness, reducing pigmentation, smoothing skin) meets a skin booster (lifting, firming and improving skin quality). PRX peel is an incredible investment in the glow of your skin and can be done in 20 minutes. Such a great add on treatment to Thermage also as it has no downtime and while Thermage addresses the deeper layers of the epidermis evenly and safely lifting and tightening, PRX gives you that outer glow that people will notice and comment on. That’s a match made in science based skincare heaven if you ask me 😃🫶💗
Another very common FAQ is what is the difference between these technologies. Let me explain the science 🧬 🧪
A quick visual of how thermage immediately tightens skin with no downtime 💗have a lovely weekend! ✨👯♀️
Does Thermage have to hurt? Short answer, no. Long answer here…
Such an ethical and honest response. Surgery has its place but you can really only get ONE facelift in your life, and having one under 40 is risky and dangerous and also means you will continue to age from that point on, so you may find yourself wanting another one later on and this isn’t going to have an ideal outcome either. Minimally invasive solutions to address minor concerns and push back the need for a facelift as long as possible is a much better approach. It’s great to see surgeons who are ethical and honest about this speaking up.

A question we often get about Thermage is “if we turn the settings up higher, will I get a better result”? The answer is a simple and firm “NO”! The makers of Thermage’s do NOT recommend painful and uneven settings as clinically they do not produce a good outcome and at Saphira we are concerned with results. The “hotter is better” mentality demonstrates a misunderstanding of the way in which this technology works. RF needs to be delivered within specific clinical parameters. If it is too hot, the SMASS layer is negatively affected. This means several things 1. Your result will not be as good and you stayed within the correct parameters. 2. It will be unnecessarily painful 3. If you are using a genuine Thermage tip the machine will cease delivering shots that are in a dangerous heat zone (this is why Thermage has the highest safety rating of any skin tightening device and has for over 22 years. 4. The damage to the SMASS at settings beyond the recommended parameters will preclude you from facelifts should you want them later in life and did I mention THE RESULT IS NOT BETTER AT A HIGHER HEAT? We get this question a LOT! But our consistently superior results over decades speaks for itself. I have been in the cosmetic industry since 1995, I have seen it all and this idea of “no pain no gain” (from people without a scientific background) is one of the biggest misconceptions in the industry. Thermage has limitations, yes. It is skin tightening, but it is not a facelift, and it is best used within specific parameters recommended by the makers of the device. Our clients choose us for expertise, safety and a proven track record of superior results. While we welcome any questions our clients have, we do not take advice on what settings to deliver the treatment at as we are the experts on this. No practitioner worth their salt would just turn up the machine hoping for a better result, it simply does not work that way. You should never be in excruciating pain during a Thermage treatment. If you were, your practitioner was not doing it correctly. That’s just a fact. Did you know that Thermage does not need to and SHOULD NOT be painful for optimal results?
