After 22+ years in the bridal industry and more than 2,600 weddings, I've learnt that choosing your hair and makeup team involves so much more than finding a look you love.

There are a few things I wish every bride knew before booking!

✨ 1. PRICE ISN'T THE WHOLE STORY.
Our industry has different price points, and there's no single right or wrong choice. Think about what you value, from the finished look and experience to communication, reliability and the support you'll receive along the way. Compare what's included, not just the final number.

✨ 2. DON'T LEAVE BOOKING UNTIL LAST.
Your venue, photographer and celebrant are important, but your hair and makeup team needs notice, too. I've seen so many brides miss out on their preferred artists because they've left it too late. Once your date and venue are confirmed, start looking!

✨ 3. ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS.
Who's actually doing your hair and makeup? What's included? How is your morning scheduled? What happens if plans change? And what support will you receive between booking and the big day? The answers can tell you a lot about the experience you're booking.

✨ 4. YOUR WEDDING MORNING NEEDS A PLAN.
The right number of artists and a well planned timeline make a huge difference. At Hollywood Brides, we book one wedding per team, per day. Your schedule is planned around your bridal party and coordinated with your wider wedding timeline, including your photographer's requirements. We're not rushing off to another wedding. Your morning gets the attention it deserves.
