Tourettes education time
This is a very small sample of Noahs school work. You will notice lots of scribbled out words, this is a complex motor tic. This happens everytime Noah does school work and while this is happening his other tics are occurring at the same time such as head and neck movements, eye movements and noises.
So when he says school is mentally exhausting i get it and I allow him to have mental break days. Understanding and educating others is so important

Its been a while between posts.
Noahs been up and down lately, we are still battling non stop tics and learning how to manage the pain associated with motor tics. Unfortunately Noahs having a crappy time at school and his attendance is down but ill always stand by mental wellbeing is more important than school attendance. The bullying is not only at school, it follows him home and even to basketball.
To say we are all emotionally exhausted would be an under statement but we do what we have to each day to get through.
We welcomed a beautiful new member to our Family. Trigger has such a positive impact on Noah and a few weeks ago we moved Trigger to the new farm where we also get to snuggle with beautiful Bella.
We spend most of our time either at basketball or the farm and we all love it.
Noahs still smashing goals at basketball and loving every second. Ill pop a few more photos up shortly 🩵🩵

Happy 12th Birthday to my beautiful Noah.
Time has flown by so fast. The day you were born seems like yesterday, your full head of hair and beautiful big eyes.
The last 12 years i have watched you grow into an amazing young man. You have a heart of gold and are a pure genuine soul. You have taught me so much about life, seeing the world as you do makes it an incredible place.
Life hasnt been easy for you my beautiful boy but you have taken it all on and still achieved so many incredible things. You can do anything you put your mind to as you have proved time and time again.
Your my handsome little Noey and my sharp shooter who keeps us on our toes with all of your basketball teams and trainings.
Don't ever change Noah, im so proud of you and who you are. I love you so much, more than you will ever know, happy birthday beautiful boy x x x x

Update on Noah
School went back on Tuesday but Noah hasn't been back yet.
On Monday we had an appt with an optometrist to check for damage from his sun staring tics and to see if there is any solution as the pain in his eyes is getting debilitating.
Positive news was there is very slight abnormalities but nothing to be too concerned about at this point, bad news was the optometrist told Noah 'if you do not stop this tic you will go blind and we can't fix that once it happens'.
I totally get that they need to be direct and straight up but I had hoped that would have been a conversation with me without Noah hearing to best determine how we approach it with Noah. Now Noahs anxiety is through the roof as he can't just 'stop a tic'. He is checking the weather every night to see if it's going to be sunny the next day and refuses to go outside during the day so hasn't even been able to get back to school.
I feel this is going to be a slow frustrating process for him but I'm so grateful that his school has been super supportive while we work this out

BASKETBALL FRIENDS I NEED YOUR HELP!!

I am pushing to get Noah to Boston as soon as we can. We have a go fundme and an amazing business running a fundraiser for him which ill share when it launches officially 😍😍

We really want to host an event to raise money for the trip but want something that represents Noah and that he can be the heart of so we have come up with the idea of a charity hustle or something similar.

Can anyone recommend where to start with all of this?

Theres a lot happening in our little world and my brain is not functioning properly 😂😂

Does anyone have experience with taking on the education department? Where do i go from here? Higher than that? Media? Im not resting, something needs to happen. Here's a back story of our week

That heart sinking phone call from school.....again.
Your Sons been the victim of a physical fight.
Can you come and get him but just a warning before you get here it's a fairly bad injury.

When I got there I was mortified.
WHAT ON EARTH? HOW DOES AN 11 YEAR OLD CAUSE THIS MUCH DAMAGE WITH ONE PUNCH?

The drs at the ER were horrified and told me I needed to contact police whose response was well what is it you would you like us to do? Given the age of the child we can't do anything really.

I was told by the school this child was receiving serious consequences and I shouldn't approach the family in the community as they aren't people I would like to cross.

Excuse me but my 11 year old has once again landed in emergency undergoing CT scans because of this child and that's all I get is 'serious consequences' and 'don't approach the family'.

My child has been threatened inside and outside of school to have his head caved in, he has had to go to school everyday in fear, the school well aware of his poor mental state and this still happens?

I'm so done, I'm not resting here. This is not the end of this.

Meet our newest addition, Kyrie 😍😍
Noahs started struggling at school again, we have requested a meeting to discuss a partial attendance until we can get him back on track.
He started a new medication last week and its going ok so far. As usual his happiest and most comfiest place is on the court with his team mates doing what he loves 🥰🥰
