This year, Franco of Canberra’s very own James Calabria— Cutter, Stylist & Colourist — entered not one, but two incredible looks for the global “Elevate Classics” challenge.

Although not a finalist in 2025, James’ entries showcase the creativity, precision, and modern artistry that represent our salon’s dedication to pushing boundaries and continuously refining our craft.

👩‍🎨 Model 1 — Twiggy Reimagined
James reinterpreted the 1960s pixie made famous by Twiggy, fusing geometric precision with multidimensional colour and contemporary texture. The result? A mod-era icon reimagined through today’s lens — bold, futuristic, and undeniably chic.

👑 Model 2 — Audrey’s Modern Elegance
Inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s timeless 1960's Breakfast at Tiffany’s updo, James created a modern chignon with voluminous crown height, soft face-framing movement and layered tonal colour. A perfect balance of Hollywood elegance and expressive, modern energy.
