One of our lovely regular clients booked a session for her mum’s birthday today 🤍

Before she arrived, I quietly prepared the room, the towels, and a warm foot bath for her.

Later, I received this message:

"Hi Izumi, thank you so much for looking after my precious mum on her birthday today. She called me after and she told me she hadn't had a reflexology like the one you provided in years. She was so calm and relaxed. She can't believe she hadn't seen you sooner. I knew she'd love it 😘 my next job is to get my brother to you haha and then you will nearly have had the whole family!"

Yarralumla.
To me, as a Japanese person, the name almost feels like “Yarral-Mura.”

In Japanese, mura (村) means “village” — a small, welcoming place where people gather and life moves a little more gently.

And that’s exactly how Yarralumla feels to me.

A beautiful little village filled with lovely local places.

Three cafés, Nunie Boutique,
beautiful sushi, wine, kebabs, Italian food,
a chemist, post office, and supermarket.
Everything quietly gathered together.

Our space is tucked away upstairs,
on the second floor of the building at the heart of it all.

Happy Mother’s Day 2026🌿
Today at Mumfest,
we offered free head massages at the market.
So many mums, a few dads, and even some little ones came to slow down with us.

In the middle of the noise and movement,
we shared small quiet moments together.

And today reminded us of something too,
we are mothers as well.

Healing,
and being healed.
