It was time for us to get a new car.

We bought our old VW Jetta just a couple of months after I arrived in Australia in 2022. It was a good car, but let’s be honest, it wasn’t the safest one to drive 😬 We did pretty well with it, and despite a couple of visits to the mechanic, it lasted us almost four years, which is pretty impressive.

Rob and I had been talking about getting a new car for the past couple of months. We had quite a collection of warning lights on the Jetta’s dashboard 😅

Last Thursday, the car finally gave up in the middle of the road, and we had it towed home. The decision was made that same evening. There was no point trying to fix it again,it was time to get a new car that was safe and would last us for many years.

So here it is… our Hyundai Tucson! 😍

Applying a minimal amount of product doesn’t automatically make your makeup look natural. Most of the time, it just looks unfinished and in that case, you might be better off not wearing makeup at all.

Being afraid to apply the right amount of product because you’re worried it won’t look natural doesn’t really make sense. Once you put makeup on your face, people can see it. The difference isn’t whether it’s visible, it’s whether it’s applied well. A well applied, balanced makeup look will almost always look more polished and flattering than makeup that’s too minimal to create the intended effect.

People will always have something to say, and they have every right to. I just have the right to ignore it.

Everyone should be able to look at themselves in the mirror and feel good, whether they’re wearing makeup or not, whether they have hair extensions or not, whether they love bold jewellery or prefer something simple.

If the person giving you an opinion about your appearance isn’t someone whose style you genuinely admire, let that opinion disappear into thin air. It shouldn’t have the power to affect how you feel about yourself 🤍
