Here’s a little glimpse of my day at Rottnest Island, getting Tamra and her bridal party ready for her big day! 💍 I can’t wait for you to see the wedding photos – trust me, they’ll be worth the wait! The dress was something magical ✨ It’s such an honor to be part of someone’s wedding day, and destination weddings always hold that extra special feeling 🤗 I also made the most of it, staying two nights with my husband and daughter. It’s a reminder of how lucky we are to have this beautiful getaway just a short ferry ride away 🫶🏻

I love showing your gorgeous faces on here but I think it’s time I show mine (so you don’t forget who I am with the name change) 🤭
So let’s do my least favourite icebreaker game and share some facts about me 😅
- I started makeup in 2014 after falling in love with makeup tutorials on YouTube. Was anyone else a and fan back in the day? 🫣
- I’ve worked in state government departments (from Agriculture to Mental Health) since I was 16 but left nearly three years ago to focus on family and makeup 💼
- Speaking of, I rarely wear makeup. I much prefer applying it and love the creative and social side of it! I feel makeup should be fun and expressive and not something you feel you have to wear to cover up! 🎨
- I have a 5 year old daughter who is my bestie. You may have seen her in the salon whilst I worked but she has just started full time school - SO grown up🥺
- I first started dating my now husband when I was 15. We’ve been together nearly half my life! 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨
- We live on property in a 1960’s cottage and are surrounded with animals - a donkey, peacock, Guinea fouls, sheep, 3 cats, a dog and about 30+ chickens🦚
- I was born in a country town in Victoria and am more of a bush than a beach girl 🌳
- My taste in music generally shocks people but I have always loved emo/punk/heavy metal/screamo bands. Soz swifty fans 🙅🏼‍♀️
- I day dream about living in a converted van or caravan, travelling Australia with my family and am obsessed with ‘tiny homes’ 🚐
- I don’t drink coffee but I can’t say no to a wine 🍷

Out with the old and in with the new! Being in business for a decade means it’s time for a refresh - to reflect the new me and to encompass my ‘why’.

Introducing… LOCKHART ARTISTRY 🎀

I’m lucky enough to say that my mother is one of the most important people in my life and as women we often forgo our identity in the sense of our last name when we get married so, I wanted to bring my Mum’s maiden name back. She has lost special men in her life that would have carried the name so what an honour to be able to carry it on in a different way. It is a beautiful, strong name with Scottish heritage but it also ties into why I get to do what I love every day. People falling in love, locking their h(e)arts together in marriage and milestones of those dear to them is generally a cause for celebration and to get glammed up. It has been a privilege to get to do makeup for brides, wedding guests, hen’s groups, 18th, 30th, 50th birthday’s and everywhere in between over the last 10 years and I look forward to what the next 10 will bring. What started in my parents house, then moved to mine and my husband’s home then into the gorgeous salon, I know the future is bright and full of evolution. I want to offer more value and an experience like no other ✨
